suggestion of add a new section to the VR wikipedia page based on latest and authentic reasearch.[edit]

Hi, the article on Virtual reality, I suggest to add new heading and info, i am posting here: i also posted in talk page:

please read these excerpts. I have collected them and also i have provided source manuscript links. The application of VR and AR are vast and this information should be present in the wiki:

In China there is ongoing research regarding application progress of virtual reality technology in childhood obesity prevention and treatment, "such as parental feeding, children's nutrition education and children's sports management, providing reference for childhood weight management".

The fact that certain forms of virtual reality exercise in certain specific settings have (short-lived) positive effects does not justify the suggested broad generalization. If there was no control group with matched similar exercises in real-world reality, tying the conclusion to VR is not justified. See also WP:SYNTH.  --Lambiam 19:01, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Have you made this proposal in Talk:Virtual reality, where it belongs? —Tamfang (talk) 19:32, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the OP said they had in their second sentence. HiLo48 (talk) 03:06, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Microsoft 365[edit]

Some time ago I purchased a Microsoft Surface 4. This week I found time to set up a working environment to draw some cartoons. Suddenly I got a warning that my grace period for Microsoft 365 expired. It turns out my Surface had this massive program inside. I don't really need it. I have other computers, with old Office. I seldom even use it and only the Word, nothing else. So, now I will have to pay for one year subscription for 365 which I know I will never use. It seems without doing it I cannot invoke the White Board for drawing. My access to it is blocked. 20 years ago Microsoft stock was about 40, now it is in the 200s. So this is how they do it.

I need an advice how to proceed, how to save money if possible. I don't think I could uninstall it. 365 is a total waste for me. Thanks, AboutFace 22 (talk) 23:23, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

To be clear, @AboutFace 22:, you don't need Office at all? In that case, it is certainly possible to uninstall. (I can look for where to do that later, or someone else can chime in.) LittlePuppers (talk) 00:00, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
AboutFace 22, If you just want to doodle, there are professional-grade packages available which are Free software (libre and gratis): Krita, Inkscape, GIMP; Calligra and LibreOffice Draw are both also part of office suites – these last two may be more pertinent and relevant to your needs. If you need some kind of whiteboard software specifically, you need to be more specific in detailing your use case, needs/desires here – software are tools, and specific tools are for specific jobs. -- dsprc [talk] 06:23, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for your answers, gentlemen. AboutFace 22 (talk) 13:39, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Answer: don't buy Microsoft. By the way, your assumptions about gender may be incorrect, my lady. MinorProphet (talk) 15:32, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
