4t Upload speeds[edit]

My 4G let connection has 10mbps+ upload speeds. So why is it so slow uploading photos and videos to the cloud? What’s slowing it down? Clover345 (talk) 07:57, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Three things, high latency, where it takes dozens of milliseconds for each message to get through; ssecond, you have to share that network capacity with all the other people using it in the same sector. Third if you are a long way from the cell site antenna, the data rate will be lowered, as your phone transmitter has limited power. Translatewiki won't let me translate into Central Sierra Miwok how can we get them to add it as an option?[edit]

There is an ongoing Central Sierra Miwok wiktionary and also a proposed wikipedia, tests created for both. We need to start translating the interface and 500 most common messages. Can someone please intervene?Baymiwuk (talk) 08:18, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Central Sierra Miwok is a Miwok language spoken in California, in the upper Stanislaus and Tuolumne valleys, with reportedly 12 native speakers in 1994. The website for Translatewiki computer-assisted translation is https://translatewiki.net/ where you can find out how to start a localisation project for a language or check their list of languages which are waiting for translators to work on them. two different questions[edit]

The 1st regards logging in to Twitter, the 2nd regards, probably, Windows.

(1) I've 2 accounts in Twitter, each being installed initially in a different browser: Chrome & Edge, respectively. From some unknown reason, I've found out that I can't log in to the other account from the 1st browser, and vice versa in the 2nd.

(2) From time to time, with no apparent reason, the current web window on the screen suddenly and momentarily blackens & freezes. Why is it so ? A malfunction ? Solution ?

Question 1 is going to be difficult to answer without more info. What do you mean you can't log in to the other account? After logging out of the account in the browser and when you try to log into the other account in the same browser by correctly entering the username and password and trying to log in, what happens? Is there an error message? A blank page? Or if get a 2FA request, what happens after you correctly submit the 2FA code? Or have you been unable to work out how to logout properly and get a login page? (If so, the better question would have been 'how do I log out so I can login to another account'. Note that very few sites allow simultaneous login from multiple accounts in the same browser session. Google is one of the very few.) Nil Einne (talk) 04:46, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your response. What's "2FA" ? I meant that I can't enter account B on browser 1, & can't enter account A on browser 2. My username & pwd were checked, to make sure of it, twice, by logging out and in again, in the respective original browsers. When I try to relog in to the 'wrong' account, it says: "The username and password you entered did not match our records. Please double-check and try again". This is fairly weird but to make sure you don't just keep screwing up somehow, e.g. autocomplete conflicts. There's no need to check lots of times. Instead write your username and password into a temporary storage space e.g. Notepad on Windows. Go to the login page of both browsers. Make sure the username and password fields are completely empty. E.g. backspace a few times until you are sure you are at the beginning and then delete a few times to make sure there are no spaces. Copy the username and paste it into the relevant field on both browsers. Copy the password into both browsers. (Note you should only ever copy the username and password one time each. Do not copy for each browser. Likewise if you screw up and e.g. paste the password onto the username field. Start from the beginning including making sure you clear both fields.) Click login for the browser you expect to fail. If it still fails, try in the browser you expect to succeed. Nil Einne (talk) 20:20, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
