USS Torsk[edit]

U.S.S. Torsk, WW2 era submarine in Baltimore's Inner Harbor

I took this picture just two days ago, but thought that it was pretty evenly balanced in the requirements area for Featured Pictures. That said, I'm not a professional so before I waste folks' time over on the FP nomination area, I thought I would get everyone's opinion first. Its replacing another photograph of the USS Torsk, has a nice variety of colors, good size, and I believe everything is generally well focused. I think it would certainly draw a reader to learn more about the submarine. My only fear would be it does not capture the "whole" submarine. It appears in the article on the USS Torsk (SS-423). ~ (The Rebel At) ~ 13:44, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Comments:

  • I second your concerns about the image not capturing the whole sub. The bow is overaccentuated due to the perspective (althoug it is eye catching). Sadly the background looks a bit clutterd but I guess there isn't much you could do about that. --Dschwen 21:08, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
