An Edit-a-Thon
Participate as a volunteer and you could earn the official SIA barnstar!

The Smithsonian Institution Archives, welcomes online participants to its edit-a-thon focused on discussing open access in cultural heritage organizations, and a new report from SIA's Effie Kapsalis, Head of Web, New Media, and Outreach. Report link.

She will discuss how edit-a-thons have played a role in the mission for the Smithsonian Institution Archives, and the culture compatibility between Wikipedia and GLAM institutions. We will also discuss how the Smithsonian Institution's Terms of Use relate to public domain and other copyright policies.

We will work on articles from the recent Color History with the Smithsonian - list and image collections of the Smithsonian Institution Archives.
