Request
Will someone please alter the above File of the unofficial Arms of Manitoba used from 1870-1905 (and by extension the Arms on the Manitoban LG's flag used during the same period) so that it looks more like what the actual Arms would have looked like, as seen here. This would involve changing the white Saltire within the Union Jack to red, and also changing the blue parts of the Union Jack to white, as well as placing a St. Edward's Crown in the centre of the Union Jack. Sunburst Flag

This is the only file I've ever seen where the file's own infobox on Wikipedia Commons complains about how inaccurate the file is. If you can somehow change the flag to be more accurate to the original design (or designs, there are apparently a few variants, see the link below). It seems that the original blue version alternates between straight rays and wavy ones rather than the all-straight rays seen here. This can be seen in two photographs uploaded to FOTW https://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/ie-sun.html, they both differ on the flag's length. My request is to have all the different versions of the flag uploaded to Wikipedia (expect the green one, it's already there). If the photographs are different enough to be different files, please do that. Replace the current file with the one in the photo if you should consider them one and the same. The current version here can be uploaded as a new file and labeled as an "FOTW variant" or something similar with the current infobox placed there instead. Thanks in advance. --109.76.73.193 (talk) 23:35, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Multipronged request here. Could this image be converted to SVG format so it can be scaled, and also could the numbers please be changed to words? (#1 is Parotid gland, #2 is Submandibular gland, #3 is Sublingual gland). Commons contributors would be especially grateful if you could upload an SVG with the numbers (as that can be used in lots of languages) and here on EN WP I'd be thankful if you could make a version with the words (Which is always easier for readers :) ). Image's request under progression Request taken by Goran tek-en (talk) 18:42, 20 March 2020 (UTC).[reply]
I have already started on this from here. I will continue to work on this but I will need you help for feedback, thanks. --Goran tek-en (talk) 18:42, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for this. Please ping me when you need my help. Much appreciated, --Tom (LT) (talk) 23:20, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Tom (LT) Please always ping me also, I forgot before, sorry. The drafts I show you are bitmap (png) but I work in svg. The reason for showing png is that the server that shows my drive renders svg file differently than the ones with wikimedia so they would look wrong.
I have zero knowledge of the subject but I like making illustrations of the body like those 1, 2.
Draft_all shows all the information I have in the illustration right now. Some layers are dimmed a bit and the background is just a color, all can be changed. This draft is without some of the different layers. So give me feedback on this, just tell me what is wrong, what you want etc. Everything goes, thanks. --Goran tek-en (talk) 17:37, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Woah that's quite different to the original image, and although I thank you for your time creating that, there is already a high-quality image below which I will use in the articles. In terms of specific feedback for your image, the shading is inconsistent between soft tissue and bony structures (see the eye, nose, vs. gums, and bones). The bones of the vertebral column appear unusual. Also there is a large oval dot overlying the brainstem. I was looking for a diagrammatic image with just the nearby structures; so if that image or something very similar could be made into SVG that would be much appreciated, thanks --Tom (LT) (talk) 23:33, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Existing high-quality image
Tom (LT) If you have the time I would like to make a svg for the different files you talked about. To me they are both schematic and then, is it important that there is a difference between different background stuff, it's more there to make a surrounding. I have made a new draft somewhat based on the new picture you showed. Is this something more what you think would work. Please ping me, thanks. --Goran tek-en (talk) 18:14, 26 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Goran tek-en, I am thankful for your attempted assistance. I hope I have communicated clearly what I'm asking for. The same or a very similar cartoonish schematic, in SVG format so it's scalable, and with titles included in the image. We already have a great quasi 3D representation and don't need more. What I think is more useful for anatomical readers is to have a cartoonish schematic. It is useful because it draws readers to the key information, ie. where the glands are in relation to each other, without additional distracting imagery.--Tom (LT) (talk) 22:31, 27 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Tom (LT) I'm sorry I misunderstood, something like this, and then the variations. --Goran tek-en (talk) 18:44, 28 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Tom (LT) I haven't heard from you so I have uploaded the three versions of the last draft.

@Mrmw: Brilliant work, and thanks for doing this. Just one thing though... any chance of changing the colour of the stars from cream to light silver? @Snow Lion Fenian:  Done --Mrmw (talk) 12:26, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Mrmw: Thanks for doing that, much appreciated. Though is there any particular reason that the stars are six-pointed on your version of the flag? Just curious. Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 12:53, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Snow Lion Fenian: no reason - wich type of star shoud it be? --Mrmw (talk) 13:44, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Mrmw: Honestly we really have no real way of knowing, since the FOTW article doesn't say how many points the stars have. So, perhaps they could each be given different numbers of points on the above SVG flag? Since there are ten stars, I'd ask that: Two of the stars be made five-pointed, two of them six-pointed, two seven-pointed, two-eight-pointed and two nine-pointed. If it's not too much trouble of course? Snow Lion Fenian (talk) 17:24, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
