Wikipedia:Committee for getting things done

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Purpose
Getting things done that help the project - add a task to the talk page now.
Eligibility
Desire to get things done
Raison d'etre
often we want to do something, but don't have the time or resources. The appropriate tweak can make a major task merely large, or even vanish. Sharing experience and resource can make this happen.
Expulsion
Automatic (but not documented) if more than 0.1% of your edits are in committee space (that's one in a thousand)

Guidelines[edit]

  1. WP:Trifecta
  • Getting things done includes changing policy, changing guidelines, forming consensus

Analects[edit]

  • Action this day!
Do less and do more
  • Find out what you do that doesn't contribute to the encyclopaedia, and stop doing it.
  • Find out what you do that improves it and work out how to do it 10 times better, how do 10 times as much, how to do it 10 times faster, or preferably all three.
  • "It is said that its author was glad to leave others to 'dispute' while he should ‘compute'."

Members and titles[edit]

Anyone can be a member (see above). Any member may have a title. Preferred title should by in the form "Lord High Tea-boy (disambiguator)" or "Lady High Tea-girl (disambiguator)". Other titles will be allowed since we will be to busy getting things done to worry about them.
