Gideon Koren[edit]

Ciche is definitely non-other than Gideon Koren (look at his other editing interests) Who is maintaining a free PR website on WP. I posted references reinforced them in talk and Dr. Koren keeps reverting them. Amongst the latest: I posted the fact that he is now the editor of the Therapeuric Drug Monitoring journal that published his slanted defriprone article that according to the agreements with the Ontaria CPSO and Toronto HSC he was supposed to retract, but never did. He reverted that comment as defamatory. He deleted my link to copies of the anonymous letters that he sent. The fact that he received and failed to report a $250,000 grant from APOTEX as stated in the CAUT report, was deleted because the "flagrant conflict of interest" in the MacClean article (entertainment section) must only be interpreted to mean Olivieri and not Koren. He claims the CAUT report is out of date and "much information" has come to light since, and therefore places much more weight on the book report in the entertainment section of a pop magazine then in the 527 CAUT report and supplement. He quotes the 1997 TDM paper as a source that the drug was effective, failing to mention that his research is skewed by the fact that the paper only considers results until mid 1995 when Olivieri started taking patients off the program. His agreement with HSC and CPSO was to retract the paper and now that he's had himself appointed as editor of TDM, that's not going to happen anytime soon? Vote for deletion? pikipiki (talk) 06:09, 6 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
