Wheel of Fortune (US Game Show)[edit]

Are you the one who erased the image of the BANKRUPT/$10,000/BANKRUPT space from the section on Round-Specific Spaces? If so, why? What was wrong with having that image on Wikipedia?

--JoBrLa 15:51, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:$10,000 Space from 2007.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:$10,000 Space from 2007.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. questionable edits to Michael Bloomberg page[edit]

Hi DJBullfish, I posted some info on DraftBloomberg.com. It must have sounded promotional. Please let me know what I should adjust so it's fair to post. Maybe it was too many adjectives? :) I'm totally willing to cooperate, just need some guidance. Just created an account if that helps for communicating--username Fosterdt. Thanks!

Hi, the Russian political jokes page has an amazingly anti communist point of view, is filled with biases, and everytime i try to edit them out i keep having them reversed. If you class it as vandalism could you at least make an attempt to get an admin or allow myself who is a dedicated communist for serveral years and have visited cuba to try to make a point of view change to neutrel which ofc should be checked by admins. Everytime i make an edit it is took back by someone who has 0 regard for communist ideals except simple one liner ideas and in the spirit of wikipedia i would enjoy some help to make the article neutrel as i can perfectly accept that there well be jokes about the soviet state i just dont want an article which would make mc'carthy blush.

cheers, good enough for me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by F4i (talkcontribs) 20:42, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kiani[edit]

You said I changed the webpage for Kiani. I didn't. So why did you send me a message? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Robertjessetelford (talkcontribs) 00:50, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Martina Hingis[edit]

Please turn on your brain and think before you randomly accuse people of vandalism.

The paragraph 'controversies' in the Martina Hingis article clearly is only about statements that she herself has made. The sentence in the begin reads: "(...)number of statemtents (...) such as:" Obviously, the last entry about the doping offence does not fit this category, neither in form nor in content. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.75.182.214 (talk) 12:13, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for keeping an eye on Inflation! --Rinconsoleao (talk) 11:31, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again... I noticed you reverted the obsolete/nonstandard definition of inflation for the standard contemporary definition. Would you mind watching deflation too, where the same battle of usages keeps recurring? Thanks in advance! --Rinconsoleao (talk) 15:52, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Um, a bit more caution? You also wiped out a couple of things other editors did to that article in your revert. Pairadox (talk) 07:52, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize. I thought I'd checked the diff's for any changes which should be integrated in, but unfortunately I appear to have missed them. Sorry. DJBullfish (talk) 07:55, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I added a question about your reversion to the article's Talk page. I would appreciate if you could provide a fuller explanation for your edit. Robert.Allen (talk) 08:42, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps you weren't so totally wrong after all. I just noticed that 420 is already listed, but near the beginning of the list before "A" in the second section. I think I missed it because the "TLA" section precedes it, so it becomes a bit buried in the list. Also I did not realize that numbers should be alphabetized before "A" rather than after "Z". Maybe it would be an improvement to add some sort of separator between the TLA list and the main list of terms. Robert.Allen (talk) 08:58, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image:PosterVelvet 01.jpg[edit]

I was a little surprised by your revertion of BetacommandBot's tag on Image:PosterVelvet 01.jpg without fixing the simple problem of the missing article name in the FUR. I went ahead and fixed the problem. Just wanted to mention it here as it is an easy fix if you are reverting the tag anyway in case you run into more in the future. I hate the way BetacommandBot works, but it seems that the powers that be like it so I guess that we will have to live with it. Dbiel (Talk) 02:06, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CSD I6[edit]

Please stop tagging already tagged images for speedy deletion - I know you're only trying to help, but those images are already listed at CAT:SD and all you're doing is doubling the backlog. I can barely keep up with your tagging to keep the main portion of CSD clean. east.718 at 07:37, January 24, 2008

No problem! When an image is tagged, it goes into those areas of CAT:SD which are demarcated by pink bars. That section is, alas, pretty much permanently backlogged. east.718 at 22:47, January 24, 2008

Haha! You actually did the right thing here, it's just that I'm one of the very few editors who prefer to keep all comments. What you did should be encouraged (although it's a bit pointless since I'll see the message anyway :-D). east.718 at 06:10, January 25, 2008

Dude, please stop tagging already tagged images for speedy deletion. All of the big red {{di... }} tags are speedy tags - what you're doing by tagging them again is doubling the workload and moving the images out of the image section of CSD into the main section. If it's already tagged, some admin will get to it sometime. east.718 at 20:48, January 25, 2008

ياشا,[edit]

Hi, you tagged this as not notable. It should have been tagged as not English as this is the English language wikipedia. Happy patrolling! 08:47, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

The second half of A2 says "That exists on another Wikimedia project". Considering the article itself (I'm actually somewhat convinced it's very poor quality spam, but I can't cook up a good enough translation to be sure); I highly doubt this is on another Wikimedia project. Hence why I didn't tag it with A2. I tagged it with A1 because it didn't provide enough context to properly identify the matter, because it doesn't appear on another Wikimedia project, and again, because I'm only somewhat sure it's spam.DJBullfish 08:58, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

CSD G4 and the db-repost tag[edit]

FYI, I saw that you tagged Owen wilsons death with the {{db-repost}} tag. The article was not eligible for speedy deletion under that criterion, because it had never gone through an Articles for deletion debate. However, it was clearly negative information about a living person, so I deleted it under criterion G10, attack pages ({{db-attack}}).

Net result's the same—the article got deleted—but for future reference, the db-repost tag can't be used if the article was previously speedy deleted or deleted through the proposed deletion process, but only if it went through AfD. —C.Fred (talk) 01:18, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bullfish, i put a few points up on the LLYSF page re the speedy delete, i don't feel terribly strongly either way, but i think that there is a chance that we could work with the article - what do you think? (p.s. - could you reply on the LLYSF talkpage, cheers) Darigan (talk) 17:04, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for helping that one out. I added a shit ton of sources because of the nature of UFO's in debate. It would be the type of article without a shit ton of sources I'd think about deleting. I tried keeping things as short as possible as I'm sure some UFO nut will come along to add and improve. Anyways thanks again for helping pare it down to size. Hello DJBullfish, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I have deleted a page you tagged ((Name of article, with formal name capitalization and no quotation marks)) under a criterion different from the one your provided, which was inappropriate or incorrect. CSD criteria are narrow and specific to protect the encyclopedia, and the process is more effective if the correct deletion rationale is supplied. Consider reviewing the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. Thanks again! NW (Talk) 20:42, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Al Maiman[edit]

Hello DJBullfish, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. Disagree wholeheartedly. The article serves only to promote the modeling career of the person involved, all eight external links promote either the person or the modeling involved...the user name of the creator is "fashion top models", another red flag. It's a promotional piece for the subject in every conceivable way. DJBullfish 20:06, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Video Journal (GirlConnect)[edit]

Hello DJBullfish, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Video Journal (GirlConnect) - a page you tagged - because: A7 does not apply to software. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. NW (Talk) 04:06, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's my opinion that the over-obsessiveness on precise adherence to guidelines creates a climate of lunacy here. Especially when those guidelines are interpreted differently amongst administrators. Thousands of software titles have gotten the heave-ho under the A7 umbrella over the years, whether interpreted as a company or web content or under the purview of both. DJBullfish 04:33, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am participating in WP:NEWT and have created multiple notable articles with typos, bad formatting etc. under the alternate account User:MusicaEsVida. These articles are notable as they are software, and software doesn't count under A7, nor did they count under G3 or G1. CISU deletion[edit]

Dear Djbullfish, I understand what is your role, but the CISU article refers to an italian no profit organization, added to add more information in the article List of UFO organizations, the organization CISU [1] is exactly like the British UFO Research Association web site [2] and like all the other organizations indicated in such article. So I really don't understand your action. Obviously the article need to be completed but I was thinking to do it from today. So now if you want you can do it.
