Lynyrd Skynyrd and MoS[edit]

Hello and welcome on Wikipedia,

Re: your recent edit on Lynyrd Skynyrd (diff)

You were right to add the missing caps on "Free Bird", and to bypass the redirect from GTA san andreas to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. On the other hand, you shouldn't have removed the italics and apostrophes. The Wikipedia MoS (Manual of Style) is a dense thing to digest, so here are two quick but vital guidelines you'll want to know:

  • Please put between italics (two apostrophes) the titles of large works -- the titles of books, albums, movies and TV series, games, newspapers and magazines, talk shows, etc.
  • Please put between "quotes" (double-quotes) the titles of small works -- the titles of short stories and poems, songs and singles, short movies and TV episodes, articles, etc.

For instance, "Yellow Submarine" (quotes) is the eponymous song of the Beatles album Yellow Submarine (ital). In the Edgar Poe book Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque, you can find the short story "The Fall of the House of Usher", which was adapted into the movie The Fall of the House of Usher. The magazine Time never published any article entitled "We Are All Going to Die Yesterday". The very first episode of The Simpsons was "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" (1989). You got the idea.

When you'll have time, please see WP:MOS for more of those subtleties.

Gallardo Pronunciation...[edit]

I have a new comment there... I didn't revert your change as to decide it by discussion ;)

The point is. Really, most of the world say "Gah-yar-do", I know that. I also know that most probably Akon doesn't even know about "Castillian or not" pronunciation issues. But even so, even if Ferrucio Lamborghini himself pronounced the car's name "Ga-yar-do", it does not make "Gah-lar-do" a mispronunciation. That was the name of the bull breed, and my entire family would promptly call it "Lamborghini Gah-LAR-do", just like they say "Pa-Ê-lla", and not "Paey-a". nihil 01:37, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

See the discussion for more, I was wrong, actually. ;) nihil 20:24, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re your edit to "Top Gear"[edit]

Whilst I support the move of the list of introductions to wikiquote I feel that some mention of it deserves inclusion in the article. Basically I was wondering if it is possible to have a section entitled introductions and then have a brief description and then an link to the relevant wikiquote entry? I'm somewhat inept at that sort of thing and whilst I'd be happy to write the section in the wikipedia article I wouldn't know how to do the wikiquote thing.
