Speedy deletion nomination of Sahasra Bahu Temples[edit]

Hello Yuyutsu-69,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Sahasra Bahu Temples for deletion in response to your request.

If you didn't intend to make such a request and don't want the article to be deleted, you can edit the page and remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Controversial topic area alert[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Tvashtar[edit]

If you would like, I can put the speedy deletion criterion G7 on the page, which basically means: "The user who created this page wants it deleted." I just saw your comment on Talk:Tvashtar and decided to let you know about this. You do not seem to want this page here so if you wanted to, as I said above, I could tell the administrators to delete it. 🐔 Chicdat  Bawk to me! 10:18, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Chicdat: that would be great. Thank you.

Disambiguation link notification for May 6[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Mallikarjuna Temple, Srisailam, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mallikarjuna. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:11, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Fowler&fowler. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Exodus of Kashmiri Hindus have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Please note "exodus" does not mean forced expulsion, only, "The departure or going out, usually of a body of persons from a country for the purpose of settling elsewhere. OED" or "Mass departure, emigration," Webster's Unabridged. Please also note that neither report you cite constitutes a secondary source that WP relies on; in one out of 180 sections, which are mostly about human rights abuses against Kashmiri Muslims, in most instances by Indian security forces, you have picked the single one paragraph section with mentioned the Kashmiri Pandits from the 1980s. That is WP:UNDUE. Best regards, Fowler&fowler«Talk» 19:36, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

PS You may take the matter per WP:BRD to the article's talk page and attempt to garner a new consensus. Best, Fowler&fowler«Talk» 19:37, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please note "exodus" does not mean forced expulsion
...which is why I added that it was forced displacement as the United Nations report also states "forced to flee".
Please also note that neither report you cite constitutes a secondary source that WP relies on
A report by United Nations is not reliable?
you have picked the single one paragraph section with mentioned the Kashmiri Pandits from the 1980s.
...because the article is about the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the 1980s.
Or are you implying I should've written that Indian security forces were responsible for that too?
@Fowler&fowler:, Yuyutsu Ho (talk) 08:39, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Per BRD, please reply on the article 's talk page. Best, Fowler&fowler«Talk» 08:45, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. I wanted to let you know that in your recent contributions to The Wire (India), you seemed to act as if you were the owner of the page. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia. This means that editors do not own articles, including ones they create, and should respect the work of their fellow contributors. If you create or edit an article, remember that others are free to change its content. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Hello @ExclusiveEditor, how exactly did I seem to act as if I was the owner of the page? Is it bad manners to ask people why they changed or removed the content I added?
Yuyutsu Ho (talk) 12:20, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You added some content (editorial stance) on The Wire (India) which was challenged, and thus removed. Wikipedia's policy states that there should be consensus about the matter of an article, which I could clearly not see on the talk page. The only user supporting you was User:BlackOrchidd, who themselves are unexperienced or have been editing disruptively in the recent past to say the least. I propose you to remove your content as of now till further consensus is reached. I also admit that just arguing with one user (TrangaBellam) is not going to bring a meaningful discussion and to advance it by inviting other user (without canvassing), and asking questions on WP:Teahouse/ WikiProjects etc. Regards, ExclusiveEditor Notify Me! 12:39, 3 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@ExclusiveEditor which part needs consensus?

According to one of the founding editors, the founders’ basic value is to stand for the right of the individual against the normally overbearing nature of the State. He further added that the founders are socially and economically liberal in their approach.[1] Varadarajan said in an interview that he (and by extension The Wire, as asked in question) in all matters of journalism is guided by the Constitution of India.[2]

In 2020, The Wire joined Progressive International's Wire– a coalition of progressive media outlets from around the world.[3][4]

As I said in the talk page, that The Wire is a member of Progressive International's Wire is a fact, it's not even primary research. That fact doesn't change even if no sources other than Progressive International (and openDemocracy) report it. Also, the cited journal article contains statements from one of the founding editors. Why would that need multiple sources?
User:TrangaBellam said,

You want to simply mention that "The Wire is a member of Progressive International's Wire"? Sure, go ahead but we need atleast one secondary source to cover DUE. Though the more important question is about its placement under a subsection titled "Editorial Stance".

Hence I removed the 'Editorial stance' subsection, and added other details in the History section.
