Ming dynasty[edit]

Hi Yongle. I don't think it's appropriate to add 30,000 bytes of information to a featured article without consulting the other editors! Any major edit should be discussed in the talk page before it's done. Much of the new content you discuss is already covered in the original article. Also, your new edits don't contain a single footnote (look at the rest of the article for comparison) and barely one or two wiki links. Because I'm a new editor, I don't know how to revert to previous versions, but I'm telling you in advance that more experienced editors will undo your edits as soon as they notice them. Now there's a lot of content to your new edits (for example on Ming relations with the Mongols): how about discussing them in the talk page so we can sort through them? Cheers,--Madalibi (talk) 05:08, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. I figured out how to revert edits and I reverted yours. You can't take random webpages and copy them directly into an article, even if it's not a featured article as the page on the Ming dynasty is. Actually, one of the two pages you used (http://www.answers.com/topic/ming-dynasty-1) is an out-of-date version of the Wikipedia article on the Ming!--Madalibi (talk) 05:49, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Yongle. I see that you have made new additions to the Ming dynasy page. The problem is that the "Main articles" you mention (Transition from Yuan to Ming, End of the Ming Dynasty, Government of the Ming Dynasty) don't exist. Neither do List of Empress of the Ming Dynasty and two of the three links you added to "See also" (the only link that exists is an inaccurate one-line wiki). Don't get me wrong: all these topics might make excellent Wikis, but before we can call them "Main articles," they should: a) exist, and b) contain more information on these particular topics than the current Ming dynasty page. The new section called "Rule" is completely empty and has a picture of "Emprror Jianwen" (sic) that doesn't even display! This is why I am undoing your edit.
As I said in my earlier messages, Ming Dynasty is a featured article, so nobody should add to it without first consulting the other editors in the talk page (unless of course the edit is very minor).
By the way, if you want to write an article on the Southern Ming, maybe you could start by integrating the following wikis into one article:

You're welcome to prepare drafts in your sandbox (that's what they're for) and then submit them to other editors for discussion and approval. Good luck with your projects!--Madalibi (talk) 06:17, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Yongle. This is now the third time I ask you politely to stop adding large amounts of material to the Ming Dynasty article, but I'm starting to think I'm wasting my time. You have done it at least 5 times that I know of, plus maybe one more time when you were not logged on. USE THE TALK PAGE FIRST!!! --Madalibi (talk) 04:48, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Ming Dynasty. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.
I have tagged your page because you keep adding large amounts of material to the Ming Dynasty wiki without ever discussing it in the talk page, and you have not had the basic courtesy of answering any of my long messages to you concerning this problem. I now see you have done it again, with 5000 bytes of material that I had already reverted before. I'm ready to believe that your edits were made in good faith at the beginning, but right now your persistence in making them in disregard of what other editors think is starting to look a lot like vandalism. --Madalibi (talk) 06:02, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Madalibi, I support you on reporting to Admin about Yongle's vandalism. As I am also quite new here, but I will see to it that Yongle is to be barred from editing Ming Arilang talk 04:36, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

December 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Ming Dynasty has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Ming Dynasty, you will be blocked from editing.
Note: this is the seventh time Yongle either adds or removes large amounts of text to or from this wiki... Madalibi (talk) 04:47, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
