Source: Dave Mays

You need a source to say a team won a game? Wouldn't that be common knowledge? Here you go. http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/article-1/Mays-to-help-fans-Select-A-Seat/dbd0a4dc-94de-4f1a-a03d-024dc

That is actually not true. As an example, you don't need a source to say a team won the Super Bowl. It's considered common knowledge. You can find statements as such in Wikipedia help. I'm not sure why the link is not working. I think I cut off the source link before though. Here it is, for that I apologize.

Discussion at WT:NFL

Hey Yankees10, could you check out WT:NFL#Infobox NFL player regarding the current NFL player/coach/executive/administrator infobox? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Eagles 24/7 (C) 00:10, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

All-Star

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Baseball#All-Star —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.3.22.197 (talk) 19:18, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

Did you check out this discussion? I think you should. I disagree with you changing "All-Star" to "All-Star Selection" in every infobox of every baseball player who's ever been to an All-star game. It's only gotten 2 comments so far, but both agree with me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.3.22.197 (talk) 21:35, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

I'm waiting for more responses. And by the way, I am not the one making the changes here, that would be you. It has said "selection" for three or four years now without any argument. So stop claiming that I am making the changes.--Yankees10 21:41, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Jason Thompson, Woodie Fryman, every time I work on an article, I have to worry about you following a minute later and adding the word selection. I've never seen anyone ever do it but you. The fact that you've been doing it for 4 years doesn't give it legitimacy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.3.22.197 (talk) 21:59, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

MLB Player categories

Hey, thanks for putting in the cats for the new players, I appriciate that. However there are a few pages that have been categoriezed a little too early so keep an eye on that. I'll take care of the Mariners and A's pages when the media puts up the lineup. Again thanks for doing all the dirty work for me, considering how busy I was outside Wikipedia. – Michael (talk) 19:54, 1 April 2011 (UTC)

Jeff image

Jeff Bagwell in action.
Jeff Bagwell headshot.
Slightly better Jeff Bagwell headshot.

Hi. While I agree that the headshot pic of Jeff is blurry, at least we can see his face. Wouldn't that be more appropriate for the infobox? We can always use his in-action picture in some other section. What do you think? --Damiens.rf 16:36, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

re: Although it shows his face, its stil, in my opinion, too small and blurry to have in the infobox. The quality and size of the action photo is much better.--Yankees10 19:18, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

re:re: Ok, as you wish. By the way, is this the same Bagwell here? That's a free photo and we could use it. --Damiens.rf 19:22, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

re:re:re: Yeah thats him.--Yankees10 19:29, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

re:re:re:re: Slightly better, but still not perfect. How do you like it? --Damiens.rf 19:48, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

Louis Coleman

Was Louis Coleman called up today or yesterday? I know the Royals announced it today, but the article you created says it was yesterday. I can't find any articles that say for sure one way or the other. Kansan (talk) 19:54, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for clearing that up, and you beat me to creating the page. Nice work. Kansan (talk) 03:52, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Ryan Williams (American football)

He may have been drafted, but unless he plays an actual down in the NFL, his notability is shaky at best. It would be a different ball game if he were a first-rounder. Unless we can track down info from his college career that satisfies the general notability guideline ... Blueboy96 22:58, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

He definitely satisfies GNG, just a quick search of Google gave me this featured article from The Washington Post. Eagles 24/7 (C) 01:21, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Wilkerson

Why did you remove the information regarding Wilkerson and his high school basketball career? If you think it is untrue, tag it. It is in the source provided from NJ.com.--TM 23:09, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Oops, just noticed that you moved it. My bad.--TM 23:11, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Chris Hairston requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Bihco (talk) 17:15, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Stetson Allie

Hello Yankees10. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Stetson Allie, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not nonsense - there is meaningful content. Thank you. Salvio Let's talk about it! 01:50, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

griffey, junior

May I ask why you are undoing edits for Ken Griffey, Jr? It is well known that he played right field for both Cinncy and the CWS, and DH'ed for Seattle before his retirement. Many of the {{citations required}} boxes are of public knowledge, and need no further sub/superscript. Please don't advance the ignorance already so prevalent in our country. The people who continue to revert his position need to stop, as this can be viewed as vandalism. Wikipedia strives to have the most accurate information, not popular opinion. Griffey, Jr. played multiple positions throughout his career. When someone plays rightfield for 4 entire seasons and DH for 2 seasons, he can no longer be viewed as a centerfielder. On ESPNs statistical site, his position is even stated as designated hitter. Please refrain from changing his position as this can viewed as vandalism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.168.204.10 (talk) 16:16, 23 July 2011 (UTC)
