Laelia crispa[edit]

Not being a botanist, I may be confused, but your new article appears to be about a species of Laelia that does not appear on the list at that page. There is a Schomburgkia crispa which appears to be an alternate name of the Laelia gloriosa, and a cattleya crispa which is labeled as an incorrect nomenclature. From what I can gather, it appears that you were attempting to create an article about the Laelia gloriosa, but that article already exists. Can you help me help you by indicating what it was you were trying to do? WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 17:36, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Additions to article requests[edit]

Your additions to article request have inappropriate capitals. Can you please fix this. Also some are already discussed and would be best as redirects. [1] Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 17:09, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

User:Wwm1012[edit]

Hi there, I've noticed another account editing similar pages that you've edited recently, is Wwm1012 (talk · contribs) a second account of your's? If you've decided to switch, that's fine, but typically it's just one editor, one account. See Wikipedia:Sock puppetry for explanations on multiple accounts. I'll block whichever one you don't plan to use. Cheers, Rkitko (talk) 00:39, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

bold and italics[edit]

Hi there. Please be careful with edits like this. I agree the name should be bold per WP:MOSBOLD, but you removed the italics, which are required for taxa at the genus level and below. If you want to bold a taxon term in the lead (with the understanding of the guidelines laid out at WP:MOSBOLD), then you can do this: '''''Genus species'''''. Also note that bolding an abbreviation like you did at the Boswellia sacra article is unnecessary. Cheers, Rkitko (talk) 15:42, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Recent moves[edit]

I notice you have moved the articles Papaya and Sweet Chestnut. I wonder if you have read the policy at WP:COMMONNAMES. Please don't move any other long standing articles like this without discussing on the talk page first. e.g. pea, parsnip, apple, apricot, potato. William Avery (talk) 15:54, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I believe the Sweet Chestnut move was justified per WP:NC (flora). The ambiguity of the several common names leads to the only logical conclusion of moving the article to the scientific name. The Papaya move, however, might have to be reverted. We can always split off the botanical information into a separate article. Rkitko (talk) 16:39, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Maple links[edit]

Hi, I've reverted the links that you put into the Acer saccharinum article for Freeman maple. If you were planning to make a new article and hadn't got around to it, then I apologize. As it was, these were circular links via redirects. Nadiatalent (talk) 14:10, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Wine assessments[edit]

Hello Wwm101, please do not remove the WP:WINE tag & assessment from wine-related articles, as you did here. Using a parameter for the WPFood template treats the project as a working group of WPFood, which it isn't, and means that no WPWine-specific importance is assessed. I hadn't seen the parameter used in a while, we actually should get rid of it. Tomas e (talk) 14:52, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do not remove WikiProject tags[edit]

Please refrain from removing the tags of other WikiProjects from article talk pages. I see you are attempting, essentially, to merge other WikiProjects into Food and Drink. Spirits and Wine are not sub-projects of Food and Drink (in fact, in many cases, the Food and Drink project tag was placed after Wine or Spirits). Those projects have different standards, and need not conform to the standards for Food and Drink. Removing the other project tag destroys that project's ability to monitor the project's assessment. For example, what may be high importance to Wine may be low importance to Food and Drink, and vice versa. Thank you. ~Amatulić (talk) 18:54, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have stopped changing them after the above message. Wwm101 18:57, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
Thanks! I think there was a discussion a long time ago about removing those qualifiers from the Food and Drink tag, but I guess they're still operational. ~Amatulić (talk) 19:02, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of List of families for deletion[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article List of families, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of families until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article.Andy Dingley (talk) 19:47, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for September 8[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Long-distance trails in the United States, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Peoria (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 18:02, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

WP:FOOD Needs You![edit]

Hi there Wwm101! I've noticed you have yourself listed as a member of the Food and Drink Wikiproject. Unfortunately it looks like the project has been slowly sliding into inactivity except for a couple of people. That makes me a sad potato, and nobody likes a sad potato amirite?

If you'd like to turn my frown upside down, can you do two small things?

First off, go here and add {{Tick}} (checkY) next to your name if you're still part of the project.

Second, go to the project talkpage and participate in a discussion about how to make the project more active, and how to go about making articles in our area of interest a lot better.

You don't want to make me cry, do you? Potatoes have a lot of eyes you know. So come on, join in! :)

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
