Image uploads[edit]

Hi, I notice that you have done a few SVG conversions of existing images; I would suggest to upload new images to Wikimedia Commons instead, where they can be used in all Wikimedia projects and centrally updated/searched without creating unnecessary forks. -- intgr [talk] 20:11, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re-edited Image[edit]

Hi, I added stuff to your SVG of Microkernel vs Monolith kernel. I tried to add the so called "hybrid kernel" but messed it littlebit. So I'm asking if you can edit that. I added the border of the OS and the System where it belongs and colored the Kernel and User space, what could actually be made bigger over the applications and fade it out, because it does not end where OS ends and System starts ;) http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:OS-structure2.svg so that is the new "version" so if you can make it better, we could update the images on kernel pages with one and same Golftheman (talk) 18:24, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think the SVG of yours what I upgraded and you changed it to article, got now changed back, the new version what I made needs tweaking on Microkernel and "Hybridkernel" parts. Mayby a change it's arrows more to originals ways so the OS and system border would stay intact and applications on the system side. Golftheman (talk) 08:34, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Jaguar logo.svg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jaguar logo.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
