Hi, just wanted you to know that I had to change the font-size back to normal, per WP:ACCESS, as I have readability issues when the font size is too small. I saw that you changed it due to problems reading it on a mobile device. There has to be a way to improve it for both of our problems. Maybe we should ask WP:VT to help us with coding? Please make Template:Web kaynağı auto-substituting[edit]

I see that you have helpfully filled in foreign-language translation parameters at Template:Web kaynağı. Can you please finish the task by adding the appropriate code so that AnomieBOT will substitute this template? We should not have foreign-language templates persisting in English WP articles. Hello, I was curious about your recent copy-edit of the above, when you inserted the letter 'c' in front of 'grandprix.com' in the website parameter in one reference and 'gm' in the same position in another. Attention: WikiProject African diaspora participants[edit]

Hello fellow project participants. Not sure how many users are still active as normal Wikipedia editors but felt the need to attempt to get a gauge on who can be called on for help with articles falling under the umbrella of the African diaspora project. According to the project's article table there are over six thousand articles related to the African diaspora; there's not a hundred at FA/GA grade and there's over twelve hundred that are unassessed. With Wikipedia being one of the major information reference points in the world today we should consider this unacceptable. Much work needs to be done on the rating of the importance of articles as well. With more communication amongst participants and a dedication to addressing the articles on the to-do list I believe we can make this WikiProject one of the most well organized and thorough on the site. If you are interested in collaborative work with some of your fellow project members, have certain expertise on any particular subjects, ideals on/about the WikiProject, etc. simply drop your name under the "Project revision" section I've created on the project's talk page and state your intentions and main points of interest in our WikiProject and we can attempt to move forward from there. Hoping to hear from everyone soon! WikiGuy86 (talk) 03:32, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Soft hyphens[edit]

Hello, please do not use soft hypens again in Wikipedia. Many screen readers treat them as spaces, so "pronunciation" is pronounced like "pronun cia tion". I accidentally discovered this while viewing an article that used {{IPA-de}}, which you'd edited to add the soft hyphens. I've also used the edit summary search tool to find other instances where you added them, and I've removed them. Graham87 04:32, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Chrome on Android[edit]

Hi Wikid77,

I saw your note at VPT about the buttons clicking the wrong thing. Can you share a screenshot? (Dragging and dropping it into phab:T171495 is the fastest way to upload one; your SUL account works there, too.) Also, do you have Javascript disabled? (Please ping me, so I'll see your reply sooner.) Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 17:58, 26 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Whatamidoing (WMF): The Android display (in Desktop mode) changes depending on which button has been clicked, where the size of the "Save changes" or "Show preview" will expand, to cause the phone screen to wrap at "Show changes" on next line. The problem does not happen on Swedish WP (svwiki), although the SAVE button still shows blue, as: " Publicera ändringar ". On German WP (dewiki), the problem is even worse because show-preview "Vorschau zeigen" triggers a page-SAVE " Seite speichern " of whichever experimental text I have entered. To avoid the problem on preview, I append "&useskin=monobook" because Monobook works ok with the new buttons and activates the proper button as clicked. -Wikid77 (talk) 15:06, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Publication list - en[edit]

Hi there. Appreciate your help but the publication list for CPPC is going to be reused on the various language Wikipedias, including Spanish and Portuguese -- so using the ISO two letter code -- including en for English -- makes them translate to the local language without manually updating. And we are trying to list en so as to let people know who are on the other language wikis what language the resource is in. This is part of a GLAM initiative so this is sort of our master list so am also trying to keep formatting very consistent and tight. So no extra spaces is ideal, since the refs are built from the RefToolbar 2.0 in WikiMarkup filling in the forms, often auto-populating from lookups. Please let me know if you have any questions. Your contributed article, Reverse surge[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Reverse surge. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Voltage spike. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Voltage spike. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 22:15, 13 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Help With Article Integration (1856 US Presidential Election)[edit]

I had stumbled across some information regarding a joint American-Republican elector slate that had been formed in Pennsylvania for the 1856 US Presidential Election, but I was not sure how best to integrate into the main page article. The information in question is on it's talk page. I'm not good when it comes to summarizing information, and I don't want to it to take up a sizable part of the page in trying to explain exactly what it was. A request[edit]

Please stop adding those really annoying subsection headers whenever you comment. Your comments are no more deserving of emphasis than anyone elses. Thanks. -- Begoon 13:13, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

So "no" then? That's cool. I love absurdities like that. Have fun. -- Begoon 14:08, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks for your support. I can see your point. I should explain that the contribution I was talking about was financial not editorial, which I still do at a low rate when I see egregious errors.

But I wasn't encouraged by the link that was thrown back, of Jimmy Wales hitting out at a complainant. I wonder if the bullying culture comes from the top. I had a look at the acupuncture article (in which I have no interest) and noted the same distortions as I found insufferable: e.g. quotations from scientific sources stripped of all positive comments and presented purely as criticisms. And the flat statement in the lede "acupuncture is pseudoscience" is simple nonsense. And yes, checking the history I see that some of the same people are responsible for changing the balance. He would be better advised to listen.

I'll leave the battles to those who derive pleasure from them. Chris55 (talk) 15:29, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for December 22[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited YouTube Poop, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Photo editing (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
