Reptiles[edit]

Hi!

I saw your edit of the Reptile-page. While I respect your right to voice your beliefs, and your edit can hardly be called vandalism of any sort, I have undone it. By all means edit, evolutionists like me should always be pressed to present uncertainty, name our sources and show how conclusion are drawn, but your edit should be a tad less blatant to bring that about.

Thank you for being polite. Petter Bøckman, I appreciate an evolutionist who does not go off on me for my beliefs. I think it would be worth your while, though, to do a little research in intelligent design. If you would at least study our views, I would greatly appreciate it. I've read through some of the The New Answers Book (it's available online), and I'm afraid there's not much there for me. The problem with the whole book is that the basic arguments are circular: If we assume that the Bible is right, how could we explain this problematic phenomenon? And if we explain it that way, would the Bible be right? I won't start pestering you with the details (I assume you're not going to be more impressed by them that I were with the book), just say that if one does not believe everything in the Bible (particularly the Old Testament) to be literally true (and the majority of Christians do not, yet live perfectly happy Christian lives), then the Book has limited explanatory value.

Still, thank you for pointing me to it! As a reference work on Creationist beliefs it's a quite good compilation. If there's anything you need to know about animals (I'm a zoologist), feel free to drop me a line. Petter Bøckman (talk) 18:05, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
