Dara Torres article and wiki links[edit]

Hi, I'm Dirtlawyer1, and I'm a frequent editor of Wikipedia articles regarding U.S. Olympic swimmers, including the Dara Torres article. I have reverted several of your recent edits, including this one [1], because you are breaking the wiki links to the linked Wikipedia articles for Olympic swimming events, such as Swimming at the 1988 Summer Olympics – Women's 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay. Please note that this linked article uses British/Commonwealth English, and the article title uses the British/Commonwealth/international spelling of the word "metre"; when you replace the word "metre" with "meter" in the Dara Torres article links, you are breaking the links to these linked articles (you can tell when the formerly blue links turn red, indicating that no article exists with that title.

Because the Dara Torres article is written in American English (she is an American athlete), the article uses the American spelling of "meter." In order to achieve a measure of American spelling consistency we use what are called "pipe links" per WP:PIPELINK. For example, [[Swimming at the 1988 Summer Olympics – Women's 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay|women's 4×100-meter freestyle relay]] displays as women's 4×100-meter freestyle relay, but links to the Swimming at the 1988 Summer Olympics – Women's 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay article. The underlying linked article is written using British English, but the pipe link used in the Dara Torres article is written in American English, with correct American spelling and punctuation.

If you have any questions, please ask by leaving a message for me here; I have watch-listed your user talk page per WP:WATCHLIST. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 02:22, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Patrick Culliton moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Patrick Culliton, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. April 2021[edit]

Hello. I wanted to let you know that your recent edit(s) to Starman (TV series) have been removed because you cited the information you added to IMDb. As discussed at WP:RS/IMDb, IMDb is considered a questionable source, and generally should not be used as a sole reference. You are welcome to re-add the information using a different reliable source, or with an additional source confirming the information from IMDb. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. DonIago (talk) 15:27, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
