Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 23:55, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

whosdatedwho[edit]

Hi Vikiemoney, welcome to Wikipedia and thanks for your contributions. Just a heads-up: I saw that you had added whosdatedwho.com as a source in a couple of articles. That is not a reliable source, it's a user editable website and so-called "content scraper" with no editorial oversight. I have removed the references to whosdatedwho so you don't need to be concerned about that, but just so you know for the future. Happy editing! --bonadea contributions talk 18:39, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I appreciate it. And again, I'm happy to help. Vikiemoney (talk) 20:47, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 15[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Disney Infinity (video game), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page UI. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:11, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I got rid of the UI link from the Disney Infinity (video game) page. Thanks again! Vikiemoney (talk) 04:29, 4 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Zxcvbnm. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Simply being "based on" something is not grounds for prominent inclusion in an article. It should be recognized and noted as such in reliable sources. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 18:07, 26 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Overlinking[edit]

Hi there. I would recommend that you read WP:OVERLINK, but the general overview of it is we do not link common words every native English speaker would know. So things like online, novel, novelist, comic etc we do not link. Thanks. Canterbury Tail talk 12:22, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Noted, thanks for informing me. Vikiemoney (talk) 12:25, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

The page Phone Swap (TV series) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from https://deadline.com/2018/05/phone-swap-snapchat-dating-show-premiere-fox-station-summer-limited-series-elisabeth-murdoch-1202382205. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion Review. — Diannaa (talk) 22:29, 27 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't copy this material word for word from Deadline. On top of that, it was already approved by an Admin. If this was an issue, why wasn't this addressed days ago? Why didn't nobody give me a warning or inform me in advance before the deletion? I also wrote it in my own words. That's really weird. I will be looking into this on my end to see what exactly happened and what would cause such a speedy deletion? Vikiemoney (talk) 00:25, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Content you included was identical to the Deadline article in some spots and only lightly paraphrased in other spots. That's a violation of our copyright policy. The article was not approved by an admin; the page was reviewed by a reviewer and marked as reviewed. The article didn't exist days ago; it was deleted 30 hours after being created. If you wish to get another opinion on the deletion, please visit WP:deletion review. — Diannaa (talk) 01:29, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Is there a place where I can go to see the article that I created so I can have it for my records? I can probably re-do this sometime in the future? Because I spent a lot of time working on that, especially doing the research. I don't want to have to re-do all that work all over again. It took a lot of my time. I hope you understand where I'm coming from, and thank you so much for explaining this to me. I'm still learning about this platform. There really is so much to learn. Oh My God! He -- He! When do you know when an article is approved, compared to being reviewed by an admin? Looking forward to hearing from you please. Thanks! Vikiemoney (talk) 04:34, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Also when will it be okay for me to re-create the Phone Swap (TV series) again? Vikiemoney (talk) 11:34, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
All the content you included was in the Deadline article so you could use that as your starting point. But it would be better to find multiple sources (at least three) that discuss the series in depth and write your article from scratch in your own words. Our articles don't get officially approved in any way by admins. Reviewers check new articles but sometimes they miss things such as copyright problems. Reviewers might be admins but they don't have to be. — Diannaa (talk) 11:45, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I appreciate it. Vikiemoney (talk) 11:52, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
A good place to go if you have general questions about Wikipedia editing is Wikipedia:Teahouse. Good luck and have fun. — Diannaa (talk) 12:05, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I truly appreciate it. Also, I just finished producing the new version for Phone Swap (TV Series). I really hope it's better than the first version I created previously before deletion. You can look it over if you want. By the way, I only used Deadline once. Thanks! :) Vikiemoney (talk) 13:06, 28 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Continued overlink disruption[edit]

You are still massively overlinking articles on items that don't need linking, such as this edit. Please stop. Canterbury Tail talk 15:03, 29 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

My Eyes On You (video game) moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, My Eyes On You (video game), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. More info: Thanks for the article! However, notability guidelines, see WP:GNG, usually decide what articles are worthy of notice to be included on Wikipedia. But a collection of routine announcements disguised as reviews in the reception section, interviews, non-independent websites, routine announcement columns, and gameplay overviews does not show significant coverage that meets GNG; the game is not yet released and is likely WP:TOOSOON. Notice

The article The Echo Worlds has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NFILM. No reviews. All citations are just announcements of the film at festivals, film database sites, or interviews with participants. Nothing else found in a BEFORE.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The article Filmhub has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NCORP. All sources in article appear fail WP:SIGCOV as they are either not independent of the subject, are just discussing how much they've raised or cannot be used as a source in the first place.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

"Keep" - Hello "Padgriffin", first of all, I want to thank you for looking over the Filmhub article because I really appreciate it, but I don't understand how this article is proposed for deletion when there is an entire page written up about it in detail on the notable "Deadline Hollywood", and this is a very strong source. Plus, it is already talked about / connected to a few notable articles here, such as Klaus Badelt, Miguel Gaudêncio, Forget Me Not (2019 film), Tengers, Struum, etc. Thus, it meets nobility WP:GNG. If you or anyone else feels strongly (100% sure) that this article is not ready for the public, please convert it to draftspace so I can tackle this later in the future. If not, let the voting commence respectfully. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks! Vikiemoney Vikiemoney (talk) 17:12, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The Deadline source, again, fails SIGCOV due to it obviously not being independent of the source. Again, notability is not inherited. Please read WP:RS and WP:GNG. Padgriffin Griffin's Nest 17:21, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Padgriffin, please move Filmhub to draftspace. Thanks! Vikiemoney (talk) 17:53, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Nevermind Padgriffin, I was able to figure out placing it into draftspace all by myself. So, there will be no need for deletion, I will just have to tackle this one again sometime in the future. Thanks anyway! Vikiemoney (talk) 18:00, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for creating Running Out of Time (2018 film). Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Padgriffin Griffin's Nest 15:21, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello "Padgriffin", first of all, I want to thank you for looking over Running Out of Time (2018 film) because I really appreciate it, but I don't understand how this article was forced into draftspace and is labeled with "it might meet the criteria for speedy deletion". First of all, a hand full of the cast members are notable here on wiki, such as Tasha Smith, RonReaco Lee, Telma Hopkins, Paul Logan, etc. On top of that, there have been some strong reviewers/editors here on wiki who have contributed to this article previously as well. I would think sometime last year, someone would have already informed me about this. Plus, this film is talked about in Deadline Hollywood and it is shown on the notable BET, Netflix, and BET Her. Lastly, it is even listed on WorldCat as "Running out of time | WorldCat.org". Thus, it meets nobility WP:GNG. Respectfully looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks! Vikiemoney Vikiemoney (talk) 16:43, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
First off, notability requires verifiable evidence and is not inherited. Some of the cast members being notable does not mean that the article automatically inherits that notability. The Deadline article fails WP:SIGCOV with regards to the topic as it is mentioned in passing once in the entire article. All of the other sources are basically just the synopsis of the film, which fail the independent clause of SIGCOV. Only three other editors have edited this article, one rejecting it from AFC for a lack of reliable sources showing notability (which you ignored and moved to mainspace anyways), the other fixing capitalization in the title and the third deleting a large chunk of the article.
Worldcat is not a proof of notability. Neither is it being shown on BET, Netflix or any other form of media. Please read WP:GNG. Thank you. Padgriffin Griffin's Nest 17:19, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Padgriffin, but there is no need for that type of energy respectfully. As far as the first editor is concerned, I did make him or her changes. They asked for film reviews, and I provided them and, along with other updates, they asked for. I did what they asked me to do. The best way to learn is by asking. All I wanted was a detailed explanation. That was all. Plus, I'm still learning about this political system called wiki. Thanks & Happy New Year! Vikiemoney (talk) 17:47, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Encore Global requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.  – CityUrbanism 🗩 🖉 10:56, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
