Speedy Deletion[edit]

The article Operations Technical Support Services has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 14:24, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nominating articles for deletion[edit]

Hi there. I came across a page that you suggested should be deleted. You can nominate articles for speedy deletion by placing a tag at the top of the page, e.g. {{db-bio}}. See WP:CSD. For articles that don't meet the criteria for speedy deletion, you can either use {{prod}} or {{AfD}}. See WP:AFD for more. Regards, Flyguy649talkcontribs 05:15, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I saw your comment on the page David c. kopaska-merkel that it should be removed but you didn't know how. If you think a page should be deleted there are multiple ways to go about it. See WP:DELETE to read about the various deletion policies. Also remember that comments about articles should go on the talk page. Good luck and happy editing! Speedy deletions[edit]

Please be more careful when nominating articles for speedy deletion, as you have nominated several that patently do not fall under the CSD criteria (Jack Sieg is one example). If you feel this article should still be deleted, please use the proposed deletion or articles for deletion process. Thanks. Natalie 16:55, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I provided links for you to those policy pages, but here they are again: proposed deletion and articles for deletion. There are instructions at those pages about when to use them and how to do so. Proposed deletion is just a different kind of tag, and articles for deletion is an open discussion about whether or not the page should be deleted. AfD can seem a little complicated at first, but once you get used to it the process is really quite easy, If you have any other questions, please don't hestitate to ask! Natalie 17:30, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another little note, as you removed your comment from my talk page. I like to keep any comments made to me, and I eventually archive them. I use my talk page for lots of things, including remembering which users I've interacted with and keeping a record of how I communicate with other people, and about what. I see that you have been blanking your talk page, which is perfectly okay, but each user gets to make decisions about their own talk page. The only thing that is never allowed is altering other people's comments. Thanks! Natalie 17:37, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Block[edit]

You have been temporarily blocked from editing because of your disruptive edits. You are invited to contribute in a constructive manner as soon as the block expires. Nunh-huh 18:27, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Useight, The vandalism in question was using an attack page for chatting, specifically is matt gay. If you still think there's been an error, please let me know. Nunh-huh 19:05, 17 May 2007 (UTC) I've removed it on the basis that I may have misread your intent. Feel free to delete this once you've read it.- Nunh-huh 19:17, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • It appears there's been a misunderstanding... per the deleted page log, the only activity User:Useight has had on the article was tagging it with a {{db-attack}} tag; the other two blocked users in the edit history of this page actually did use the page as an attack chat board as such. I'm going ahead and reversing the block on this basis. --Kinu t/c 19:19, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Your unblock is hardly necessary, since I've already unblocked him. (see the text directly above yours). - Nunh-huh 19:30, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't see it in the log so I wasn't aware that you had. --Kinu t/c 19:32, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't hurt to be unblocked twice, I suppose. My apologies, btw, to Useight, for having misunderstood his contribution to that page. - Nunh-huh 19:34, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Autoblock of I was blocked by mistake lifted or expired.

Only a complete toad would try to use this against you, and I don't think you need to worry they will. If they do, I would certainly back you up. Glad to see the unautoblock went through. - Nunh-huh 20:33, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Torrance Police Department[edit]

Why put this article up for deletion? It is a major police department in the Los Angeles area.

James Robson[edit]

The version of James Robson you saw for the AfD was a vandal edit. I've reverted to the actual article. DarkAudit 06:12, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I only created this article at 1629. Then at 1632 along you come marking it for deletion. Give me a chance to add to it. Have you really nothing better to do with your time? Paul210 16:57, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Use of the singular for British bands[edit]

Hi,

I noticed you recently edited the intro to Queen (band) to say that "Queen is" instead of "Queen are". This is incorrect in British English and as Queen are a British band Wikipedia recommends that UK English be used throughout such articles. Please take this into consideration when editing things which you think are obvious grammatical mistakes in future. Thanks. Chris Cunningham 08:17, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jeff Schweitzer[edit]

Though people should not write their own bio, we do not delete the articles when they do--we just look at them very very carefully. What he claims is notable, though it is not sourced. You might check that a/ there are sources, and b./that he did not copy from any of them.DGG (talk) 18:40, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll look into it. Just no more Advanced Deletionist Theory or Nihilist Blanking ;-).

List of Pokémon (281-300)[edit]

How is it a duplicate? Do you see the other lists? Do you want to db-tag them all as duplicates? -WarthogDemon 06:10, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My reply here.
Scroll down the 281-300 page and you'll see the templates for the other ones. We're all merging from the individual Pokemon articles into the lists. Half the individual articles are redirects at this point. You might want to talk to User:TTN or User:Zxcvbnm for a better explanation than I'm providing. -WarthogDemon 06:19, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This needs to be solved[edit]

I have taken the "List of Companies" problem (what to do with an entire class of articles that get repeatedly submitted for deletion en mass?) for debate to two different places. This really needs to be solved once and for all (we can't keep debating the same stuff for eternity). Would you take a look at either the discussion on the Village Pump or the relevant wikiproject? Wii grammar[edit]

The most recent contribution to the article starts off with "Wii..." instead of "The Wii..." Could you fix that? Thanks. Just64helpin 08:11, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To satisfy curiosity, the browser I'm currenty using can't accomodate the large amount of editable text. I noticed you were active, so I asked you for help. While we're chatting about it, I noticed "Medal of Honor: Heroes 2" need italicizing. I won't be able to properly get at it for another eight hours. Just64helpin 08:33, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editor review[edit]

Hi, I'm "Shalom", and I'm unofficially on wikibreak. I noticed that you blanked your editor review page. I restored it. You were probably trying to do one of two things.

  1. You don't want any more reviews. That's fine. If so, you should edit the Wikipedia:Editor review main page, and remove the line that looks like this:
{{Wikipedia:Editor review/Useight}}
  1. You wish to delete the page per user request. You are free to request deletion as such, but I would prefer that you keep it because I maintain an archive of all the editor reviews I've done. If you simply orphan all the incoming links (except the one from my archive), nobody will remember that it was there.

By the way, good luck on your RFA. I'm not voting, but I hope it succeeds. 71.174.234.120 14:52, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adminship[edit]

I thought it appropriate to let you know that I was serious about my support after a period of time. I strive to vote with good conscious and hope that you understand that there is nothing personal. Regardless of the outcome of your current vote, please understand that I would support you fully with more seasoning. In the mean time, please continue to broaden your participation in this very worthwhile venture we know as Wikipedia. Cheers. --Storm Rider (talk) 03:48, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
