Thanks for your contribution to the Supermarine Spitfire article; don't worry too much if you make some mistakes when it comes to adding references - even highly experienced editors make the odd mistake. You have raised an important issue; figures and statistics quoted from reports without adding context are useless, as I've attempted to explain in the Spitfire discussion page. It may look authoratitive and scientific to state that such and such an official report says XYZ without going on to mention that the report goes on to say ABC. Again, thanks for your input.
