Recent Pink Floyd revert[edit]

It's nice seeing people who not only revert, but explain the reasoning behind such. A small deed, but great none-the-less. Thank you. --Tylerdmace (talk) 21:51, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Tylerdmace. You have new messages at DSciphire's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

When you have a chance to read it, I have posted a response to your comment on "Spearheading" an wikipedia ETF article in the ETF discussion area of the FED page. I think it's time we create one. Interested?

I will talk to you soon and I hope all is well.

Absolutely. Go for it. Just drop me a note when you've made it, and I'll try to edit it for style.

YAML edits[edit]

Hello. my user ID is cems2 but since I'm using an insecure public terminal I'm not logged in for now. I wrote the majority of the current text in the YAML section (but by no means all of it!) and I created it's current organization structure. I periodically try to maintain that order.

so for example, I'm removing an added criticism section which really just mentions a pitfall and has nothing else to contribute and moving that to the pre-existing pitfalls section. I'm removing some poor phrasing in a section comparing XML. and a few other chores.

Would you kindly stop reverting my edits?

I believe I've only reverted your edit(s) once and that was a mistake edit on my part. Sorry for any frustration. -- Tyler D Mace (talk · contr) 18:02, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

New Info[edit]

Wow, for some reason I never noticed your message to me. I wasn't ignoring you I just haven't been very active lately, sorry. It's been so long, this is what you said in case you forgot: "I think you and I are long lost twin brothers..."

Well, just wanted to stop by and say thanks for messaging me. I wonder why you think this though? Not trying to pry, just curious. Always cool to know similar people.

File permission problem with File:Jake towne head.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jake towne head.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. WikiProject Economics census[edit]

Hello there. Sorry to bother you, but you are (titularly at least) a member of WP:WikiProject Economics, as defined by this category. If you don't know me, I'm a Wikipedia administrator, but an unqualified economist. I enjoy writing about economics, but I'm not very good at it, which is why I would like to support in any way I can the strong body of economists here on Wikipedia. I'm only bothering you because you are probably one of them. Together, I'd like us to establish the future direction of WikiProject Economics, but first, we need to know who we've got to help.

Whatever your area of expertise or level of qualification, if you're interested in helping with the WikiProject (even if only as part of a larger commitment to this wonderful online encyclopedia of ours), would you mind adding your signature to this page? It only takes a second. Thank you.

Message delivered on behalf of User:Jarry1250 by LivingBot.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on ROOTCON requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Porturology (talk) 01:41, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

CadCAD moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, CadCAD, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Orphaned non-free image File:CadCAD logo, Sep 2020.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:CadCAD logo, Sep 2020.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:29, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
