Stop, now

For goodness sake, stop those page moves, now. The spacing around en dashes is completely wrong, read the guideline you're quoting. And you still have no consensus to replace adjective compounds with noun-noun compounds, and never will. This is disruptive editing and you will be blocked if you continue. Fut.Perf. 07:39, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

You're at ANI.  GARDEN  08:05, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

So, Turkish Flame, if you're not willing to respond, can you please at least help cleaning up the mess and moving those articles back where they were? Fut.Perf. 08:33, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm not the only editor to move those articles per WP:ENDASH. See [1] by LonelyMarble and [2] by Jafeluv. So why are you trying to ban me or only me? --Turkish Flame 09:20, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
"All disjunctive en dashes are unspaced, except when there is a space within either one or both of the items". What exactly about that sentence do you not understand? In the two diffs you linked to, there were indeed spaces within the items ("United States" and "Saudi Arabia", respectively), so those were arguably correct. Your moves were not. And the conventions about adjectival rather than nominal forms are here: [3]. Fut.Perf. 09:25, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Ok. I understand now. I'll move back those articles immediately. Thanks! --Turkish Flame 09:29, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

You appear to have violated WP:3RR on this page, through reverting good faith edits without explanation as well as inappropriate use of the minor edit check box. I am rather inactive at the moment, but that does not mean WP:AN3RR is off limits. Camaron | Chris (talk) 12:51, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm reverting vandals' edits.--Turkish Flame 12:55, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
These four do not meet the definition of reverting vandalism: [4], [5], [6], [7]. Camaron | Chris (talk) 12:58, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
The first and the second diffs are against copyright violation. That TV screenshot is in Wikicommons.--Turkish Flame 13:22, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
TV screenshots are not allowed on commons because they are non-free media. There is no reason to have an image of the postcard anyway because postcards aren't mentioned anywhere on the page, violating the non-free criteria. Grk1011/Stephen (talk) 14:14, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
The exceptions to 3RR are very narrow; that image was wrongly uploaded and the image being reverted to had the same copyright status and was inappropriately tagged as well (now fixed), I don't see any strong case for exemption in that it was removal of a serious copyright violation, as it wasn't, so 3RR still applies. That does not explain diff three and four in any case, and reverts should not normally be marked as minor (Help:Minor edit), and a reason should be given in the edit summary. Camaron | Chris (talk) 14:37, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Turkey Postcard Eurovision 2009.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Turkey Postcard Eurovision 2009.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:03, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Canvassing

Please desist (for instance [8]). It's not cricket. Thanks. Bali ultimate (talk) 18:14, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

No, you're mistaken. I'm not canvassing. I'm informing other editors and i'm not saying "please vote as keep". It would be canvassing. I'm saying "feel free to explain your opinions" Turkish Flame 18:18, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Well it looks to me you're "informing" people you think are inclined to support your point of view. If it continues, I'll seek outside/admin opinion.Bali ultimate (talk) 18:27, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
The message is neutral and there's no way of telling how the person informed might 'vote', so I wouldn't call it canvassing- it's a fine line though, so I'd advice caution! HJMitchell You rang? 19:38, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
The message may be neutral but the choice of editors is not. this is bordering on canvassing. suggest you read WP:CANVASS. Turkish Flame I suggest you inform other editors who sometimes vote delete too. LibStar (talk) 14:25, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

I noticed your keep 'vote' at WP:Articles for deletion/Comorian–Kosovan relations and the comment that "we can improve it". I've been one of the strongest advocates for those of the bilateral relations articles that can be salvaged- I've rescued a few of them from the clutches of deletion. However, following a google and google news search, I, like the nominator and others, came up with nothing besides a recognition of independence. If there's something I'm missing here, do let me know, but there don't seem to be any real relations. Regards, HJMitchell You rang? 19:38, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

The recognition is very recent and Kosovo is a new country. It will take time to establish diplomatic relations. I also think that some nominators are nominating some articles according to their POVs. Ex: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/France–Kosovo relations. --Turkish Flame 19:49, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Indeed, I think more recently, though, most of the nominations have been in good faith and due diligence has been done. Your view on this particular matter is admirable, however, don't you feel it's a little crystal bally? I reckon we should let things take their course, then recreate it if or when there is a relationship. If we were talking about France, the US or Serbia, for example- countries who have had a key role in its history or its independence, I would be inclined to agree with you, but we're talking about a bunch of rocks in the Indian Ocean. HJMitchell You rang? 20:42, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Foreign relations of Kosovo

As requested, I am raising the question of renaming Foreign relations of Kosovo to the (in my opinion) more NPOV title Foreign relations of the Republic of Kosovo. You may wish to comment. Bazonka (talk) 20:38, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Concorde De Luxe Resort, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Concorde De Luxe Resort and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Eeekster (talk) 19:51, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Article renaming (bilateral relations)

Following the discussion on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject International relations#Naming conventions for bilateral articles., it seems clear that the use of the names of countries is favored over the use of adjectives. Thus I'd be glad if you wouldn't rename articles from the later to the former, especially since you seemed to favor this solution as well. -- Thanks -- User:Docu 11:40, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

I also need help integrating the facts into prose. warning for canvassing

Hello. It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on others' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. this is not the first time, please don't do it again. Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Athena Eurovision 2004.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. I saw you undid my edit to this article, which had changed it into a redirect to Foreign relations of Hungary, and undid a few others about Turkey and Kosovo bilateral relations - no problem. You must be aware that unless they are expanded to include content with reliable independent sources that show notability, they will be vulnerable to being nominated for deletion. If you think that the subjects are worthy of coverage, it may have been better to leave them as redirects until you are ready to expand them into defensible articles. If you are opposed to the existence of articles about relations of these two countries, opening them up to AfD debate while they are still stubs may result in some "delete" decisions. But even after a "delete" decision, an article can still be recreated - it just needs to meet a higher standard to survive. Aymatth2 (talk) 04:09, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Hande_Yener.jpg

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Hande_Yener.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MBisanz talk 07:13, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Naming of relations articles

As far as I'm aware and also from comments at Talk:German–Turkish relations#Requested move there is no clear consensus what relations arguements should be named. Therefore I disagree with any speedy tagging of such articles for moves as uncontreversial as it would appear there is actually some disagreement. According to WP:DP speedy deletions tags should not be re-added once removed by someone other than the page creator so you should not have made this edit. The subsqeuent move of Serbian–Turkish relations to Serbia – Turkey relations is particularly disturbing to me as it seems a dleibrate attempt to ignore my view by moving the page to a very similar title that did not require a speedy delete. Although not technically against the rules this seems to go against the spirit of them so I've reverted it. I'm also somewhat surprised that you seemed to think one such move would be contreversial so used WP:RM but thought the others wouldn't be so used speedy. I thought this was obvious from my edit comments but to make it clear - with where things currently stand I'm contesting the move of any such page either from the Serbian–Turkish style to the Serbia – Turkey style or vice-versa so tagging any such article for speedy delete is now inappropiate as it's not uncontreversial - I'd also suggest using WP:RM for any such move. If a clear consensus is reached at Talk:German–Turkish relations#Requested move or someone points me at an agreed policy then I may be willing to change my mind. Dpmuk (talk) 14:36, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

You have to change your mind immediately because I'm the one who moved Turkey-related bilateral articles to demonym forms. Once I was thinking like you, but I realized we can't use these kinds of titles. For example; both Republic of the Congo's and the Democratic Republic of the Congo's demonyms are Congolese. What would we do in this situation? See Democratic Republic of the Congo – United States relations and Republic of the Congo – United States relations. Can we move these articles to American–Congolese relations? The answer is no. That's why I'm trying to move back those articles. Please don't hinder me, and if you want to help, I'll be glad. Thanks. --Turkish Flame 14:49, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
I realise that and to be honest I somewhat support your original move. However it's irrelevant because you don't WP:OWN the article and now you've made the move I'm allowed to disagree with moving it back. I do see your point with respect to Congolese etc but at the moment there's no consensus on any of this. Consensus could well be to use demonym forms where possible and then use the other form or possible even disambiguate between the two some other way. My point is that until such a consensus is reached such moves cannot be seen as uncontreversial and should either be dealt with by WP:RM or by getting an agreed policy in place. My arguement isn't so much with what you're doing but how. Dpmuk (talk) 15:40, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

I have boldly re-directed this article due to lack of material - it said little more than Greece will participate in 2010 which does not justify an article nor pass WP:N. Please only create entry articles with plenty of material available. If there is mass creation of stubs it will probably result in an AfD, which I and many others would like to avoid this year. This has also been done for the 2010 Turkey article for the same reason. Feel free to re-create when you have plenty of material and sources to add. As for Armenia and Azerbaijan, they are not European countries either. If Turkey is "supposedly" an European country, why not to make Spain an African country because Ceuta is located in Africa? PS. That was sarcasm. Norum (talk) 16:47, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Look, for an average American dumbass, a footnote doesn't mean anything. Do you think they gonna look at footnote to see that only 3% of Turkey is in Europe? They are too dumb for that and they gonna assume that the whole country is in Europe. That is why it should be clearly marked the way i did it. Norum (talk) 22:34, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Iraq

Why is Iraq not a member? (talk) 08:54, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Because Iraq is not a Mediterranean country. --Turkish Flame 08:56, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Neither is Mauritania or Jordan. (talk) 08:58, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Libya is not a member although it's a Mediterranean country. --Turkish Flame 09:01, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Iraq is part of it bro. (talk) 09:05, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
No. You're wrong. Mauritania and Jordan became members because they are part of the Euromediterranean partnership. Iraq is not a part of this partnership. That's why it's not became a member of the Union for the Mediterranean. --Turkish Flame 09:08, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Iraq is joining. (talk) 09:29, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Do you have a reliable source? --Turkish Flame 10:34, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
When I obtain one, I will add it. Izzedine (talk) 21:27, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
  • The above discussion is exactly what you should have done before entering into another revert war (not during or after). Please try to learn from this to avoid even longer blocks for disruption in the future. Nja247 10:58, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

I've protected the template for the same period as your block. I will ask the other party to enter into discussion with you here to sort out the issue, so that when your block is up it's hopefully resolved. Good luck, and if consensus on the template is reached before the end of the block then email me or have the other party alert me on my talk page and I'll unprotect the template. Cheers, Nja247 11:03, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your hardwork. But I want to ask a question to you. Why I'm blocked for 10 days? Isn't it too much? --Turkish Flame 11:22, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Due to your block log. Essentially your last 1 week block from approximately 6 weeks ago for edit warring did not do its job as you've done it again. Though, if you and the other party come to consensus on wording, then we can discuss unprotection of the template, as well as ending this block early. If this happens let me know by email. As noted above, you were on the right path in terms of discussion, however you need to learn to discuss before it becomes an edit war. Nja247 13:37, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

As an editor on this page, you may be interested in the on-going argument about some of my edits in the article Armenia–Turkey relations at [9]. As an editor, you may want to make some statement concerning the allegation being levelled at myself. Regards.--Murat (talk) 01:10, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

I have nominated Kosovan–Serbian relations, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kosovan–Serbian relations. Turkey Related Portals

Hi Turkish Flame, I added a few portal's here but I can't get them centered. Could u help a little. Thanks! ~ Zirguezi 18:32, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

It's perfect now, thanks a lot! ~ Zirguezi 19:37, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
Your welcome. But please stop adding Kurdistan portal. We already have Iraq in that section, so we don't need to add a region of it. --Turkish Flame 20:55, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
Uhm...Portal:Kurdistan isn't just a portal for Iraqi Kurdistan it's a portal for the whole of Kurdistan, of which the biggest part is located in Turkey. Even more Demographics of Turkey says that at least 17% of the Turkish population is Kurdish. I'd say that makes a Kurdish Portal related to Turkey ~ Zirguezi 22:29, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
If Kurdistan portal is a portal for the Kurdish-inhabited region, so why you add it with a flag? That flag is only used in Iraqi Kurdistan. And related portals sections don't have to include regions (especially if they are separatists). Like Portal:Spain doesn't have Portal:Basque, Portal:People's Republic of China doesn't have Portal:Tibet, and Portal:Serbia doesn't have Portal:Kosovo, etc. --Turkish Flame 05:55, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
The Kurdish Flag is used by all Kurds not just Iraqi Kurds. It's just that the flag is banned in Turkey and Syria(and to a lesser extend in Iran) which is why you won't see it used often. And like I said before Kurdistan and Turkey are just too related too each other to exclude. ~ Zirguezi 07:56, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi Turkish Flame, I have a personal question for you, if you don't mind. How hard is for you to understand other Turkic languages, but especially the Azerbaijani language? Thank you. kedadial 21:47, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

It's easy for me to understand Azerbaijani, it's the most similar Turkic language with Turkish. I also understand a bit Kazakhstani. But I don't know others. I've never tried to read or listen them. --Turkish Flame 04:00, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

Macedonia/F.Y.R. of Macedonia

Hi, I saw you reverted my change from "Macedonia" to "F.Y.R. of Macedonia" - the official name under which the country is registered in this contest. Here's the official teams EuroBasket 2009 Teams. Why all other countries are with their official names, but F.Y.R. of Macedonia is not? Is there any special "renaming policy" about this? Regards! --StanProg (talk) 17:19, 11 September 2009 (UTC) Hi! Yes, there is a guideline on how to name Macedonia-related articles. See here for more information. Good editing! --Turkish Flame 17:24, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

OK, so according to section "International organizations" I just have to report it "in parentheses after the first reference". Regards! --StanProg (talk) 17:30, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
I don't get it. I'm following exactly the policy that you've showed me. Why do you revert my change now? --StanProg (talk) 17:46, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
I'm not sure we should add a note like that. But I can suggest you to contact with User:Future Perfect at Sunrise. He knows the procedure. --Turkish Flame 17:50, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
According to the "International Organizations" section, like "FIBA Europe" The country will be referred to in these contexts in the same manner as it is referred to elsewhere on the project. Diverging naming practices used by the organisations themselves may be reported (for instance in parentheses after the first reference to the country, or in a footnote), but will not affect usage within the article. So you're "not sure", but revert my change, which I've done according to the policy? Isn't this called a vandalism? If we think practically, how could a wikipedia user see that this country is participating under another name, when this is not specified in this article? --StanProg (talk) 17:59, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
Like I said above, contact with User:Future Perfect at Sunrise. But if a wikipedian wants to learn the country's name etc. he/she can click that link. The article mentions about the naming dispute. --Turkish Flame 18:04, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Turkish Embassy in Malta

Hello, I cannot find any proof that Turkey has an embassy in Malta. I have checked both countries Ministries of Foreign Affairs. Can you please give me your source? Thanks. Aquintero (talk) 13:14, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi! Here are the sources: This one is about the new embassies, and this one is about the newly appointed ambassadors. --Turkish Flame 17:20, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks - I did see English references which indicated Turkey was plannig to open a mission in Valetta. Generally we add "to open" to such entries, although the practice discouraged (since many countries promise to open missions but never get around to doing so, and in the case of this article, it would not be headed by Turkey's ambassador to Malta ) Kransky (talk) 22:18, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Categorising Turkey in DMBC articles

I will discuss the issue with you here, and next week (currently on holidays) Kransky (talk) 04:38, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Okay I am back from my holiday. Please go to Category talk:Diplomatic missions by sending country, where you will see the discussion was made early last year about Turkey's categorisation. Two editors (probably Turkish) - Eae1983 and Izmir Lee were pushing for Turkey's inclusion into the Europe category. Izmir was subsequently banned for abusive behavior. Eae1983 pursued this, but eventually we got some way in agreeing to use the Geoscheme principle, in which Turkey would not be listed in Europe or the Middle East but Asia (see my proposal at 01:03, 3 February 2008).
In a subsequent discussion with other people (see Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_International_relations/Archive_2) we agreed to eliminate Middle East, with all listed countries to be redesignated to Asia (as it fits in the Geoscheme.
The next step is for all editors to move all the Middle East entries to Asia. But as you can see, while people are happy to give their ideas how to resolve problems, few want to make all the necessary changes.... Kransky (talk) 08:24, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for replying. I'll move those countries to appropriate continents per UN Geoscheme. --Turkish Flame 13:45, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
I see you have started. Thanks (and sorry if I forgot to make the changes earlier). Could you order the continents as Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia and Oceania? There is no real reason, but this has been the order these continents have been listed. Kransky (talk) 09:17, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Hmm... The UN uses alphabetical order. And i can't see a reason why we have to put Europe first. I also think we should merge N and S America into the Americas. Because the UN only classifies US, Canada, and three territories N American. See "United Nations geoscheme for the Americas" --Turkish Flame 14:54, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
When the first articles were being made I visualised the continents as a figure "8" - Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Middle East, Asia and Oceania (where I live). If you feel it is appropriate to place all the articles in alphabetical order then go ahead and make the changes (I wonder how the UN places continents in alphabetical order - which language would they use?). I understand the Americas are a single entity in the Geoscheme - my decision to treat the Americas separately was because the division between North and South America was clearer than for other continents. Any further views?
We should place countries/continents alphabetically. Here is English Wikipedia and English is one of the official languages of the UN. It doesn't matter if we separate the Americas or don't. But like i wrote above, the UN only classifies the US and Canada N American. Even Mexico is considered S American by the UN. Do we still keep the Americas separated? Or why don't we list countries alphabetically without continents? Like Afghanistan, Albania, ... Yemen, Zimbabwe... --Turkish Flame 16:30, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
I am warming to your proposal. Another possibility is that we go down to the sub-regional level. This is what airline destination articles use (see Lufthansa destinations). If we can both agree to something we should flag it with other contributors, possibly by converting a few articles. Kransky (talk) 09:13, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Airline destination articles use continents, sub-regions because those articles are partially about tourism. Will using continents be useful in DMBC articles? For example, Serbia, a European country, has no missions in Estonia, but it has an embassy in South Africa. I mean continents don't matter in diplomacy. See List of sovereign states, countries are listed alphabetically there. We also list countries alphabetically in List of DM in X articles. (List of diplomatic missions in France, List of diplomatic missions in Russia, etc.) --Turkish Flame 18:09, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
The airline destination articles are about networks, as are the DMBC articles. We can see where in Europe Japan Airlines chooses to fly, or what countries in Africa are the hubs of diplomatic activity. Hence it would be reasonable to group missions by countries, and countries by continents. List of sovereign states is not thematic - it is just a list of countries - so naturally there would be no value in grouping countries.
Are there any issues or concerns you have which is underpinning your strong desire to modify the formatting of all these articles? I ask because it would be less time consuming for us if we were to address those issues directly, rather than indirectly through arguing over the formatting. Kransky (talk) 18:48, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
See also Lists of countries. All lists there are listed alphabetically. Anyway, I still don't think that there is a real consensus on using the UN Geoscheme. Additionally, listing Cyprus (a member of the EU), and Turkey (a candidate) under Asia, listing Mexico (a member of the NAFTA) under Latin America and the Caribbean is nonsense. Also Kosovo, S. Ossetia, etc. are not UN members. How can we put them in DMBC articles if we act like UNpedia? --Turkish Flame 04:54, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
The UN geoscheme deliniates the world, irrespective of wether countries are UN members or not. It is not perfect (I would put every country north of Colombia in "North America") but it is a consistent measure that can be applied uniformly.
You seen to be very very keen for Turkey to be considered a European country. I notice this with your edits to other articles, and indeed your user name denotes your patriotic feelings. I appreciate this, but both on Wikipedia and off it the general consensus is that Turkey is not European. It may be in both continents, but if we had to pick one or the other few people would say Turkey is in Europe. Be patriotic, but don't be tendentious. Kransky (talk) 09:36, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
The UN Geoscheme is a bit biased. See the UN's Central & Eastern Europe, Western Asia, and the Middle East maps. Anyway I'll follow the UN's geoscheme until a user disagrees with it like me.
The general consensus on Turkey's position you said above seems like only your POV. The EU, NATO, CoE, BBC, etc. are all consider Turkey European. Yes I'm patriotic like most of the people. But I'm not tendentious. At least I don't listed ex-Soviet republics of Central Asia, Cyprus, Armenia European while listing Turkey Asian like you did.
I also wonder the current status of wikitable discussion. Anyway, good editing. --Turkish Flame 15:55, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

Turkey bilaterals

Look, I'm not particularly interested in playing this game with you, but the community has determined that no-content bilateral relations stubs will be redirected to "foreign relations of ..." pages -- even if they're about Turkey. I hope that's clear. If you want to challenge that consensus, feel free to take up the matter at WP:BILATERAL. - Biruitorul Talk 04:02, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

The articles you've redirected are important bilateral relations of Turkey. If you disagree, nominate them for deletion instead of redirecting them. --Turkish Flame 04:55, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
First, importance is determined through multiple independent sources alone (see WP:GNG), and if you find those, you are welcome to recreate them. Second, every other country with two-line articles of this type ("important" or not) had them redirected to the "foreign relations of ..." pages. To say we should make an exception for Turkey is a case of special pleading. - Biruitorul Talk 14:06, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Kosovo

Don't play innocent. You are revamping the template so it seems that Kosovo is widely accepted as independent. NPOV is not adding the disputed coat of arms, declaring that Kosovo is independent and unilaterally calling it a republic. Stop making these changes. Thanks, --Cinéma C 16:29, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Please refrain from making personal attacks like you did above. I removed flag and CoA for now, until a consensus is reached. --Turkish Flame 16:39, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Please remove {{·w}} [[Kosovo|Republic of Kosovo]] (2008–present), as there is no clear consensus to do so. I know attack is the best defense, but before you accuse me of personal attacks, try to logically analyze what you're doing here - making significant changes and saying that it has to stay like that before a consensus is reached. It's quite the opposite my friend - first you get the consensus, then you make the significant changes. It's not personal, it's just common sense and Wikipedia rules and regulations. --Cinéma C 21:14, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
There is already a consensus on listing Kosovo as a country with a footnote which express Kosovo's political status. See Template:Countries of Europe. I only said we need a consensus for adding flag and CoA to the template. --Turkish Flame 05:51, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Greek-Lithuanian relations. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Greek-Lithuanian relations. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
