Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Afro-American peoples of the Americas may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Information icon Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Berber languages has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. Please use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did, and feel free to use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do. You must know that removing a word is not fixing a typo. If you do this again I will block you - you need to give full explanations when you remove or change text Dougweller (talk) 08:15, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Western Sahara[edit]

The UN includes this as part of North Africa. Please don't change this again. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 08:16, 7 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

West Africa is not the totality of Africa, but your edit here equates North Africa with West Africa and your argument that "It's all Africa" seems to indicate that you don't know much about the subject. That's ok, so long as you stick to summarizing reliable academic sources instead of engaging in original research (the latter of which we wouldn't allow even if you did know the difference between Western and Northern Africa). It's making things less specific. Also, assume good faith, Doug knows what he's doing here. Ian.thomson (talk) 20:01, 8 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, Truthfinder1011, here's an idea, how about you cite reliable sources on the topic? Notice that you're not listed at WP:RS. If that's not an option, how about backing off and letting people who do know how to do that handle the encyclopedia? Seeing how you didn't seem to understand where "the bottom of the page" is, maybe that's a better idea. Ian.thomson (talk) 21:00, 8 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
