To clarify[edit]

The above message is a standard message sent to new users who aren't using sources. Note that your own personal knowledge cannot be used, it still needs a published source although that doesn't need to be on the web. If you have access to a dictionary you can use that. I couldn't find any sources, and I did look first. The links you need are all in the first paragraph. Help:Referencing for beginners is a very useful guide to citations. I see that you are using the talk page which is a very good idea (although you should sign your name on every post, and replying to old posts is usually pointless). And I'm sorry but your comment about the "pronoun game" above makes no sense to me. Doug Weller talk 16:26, 21 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Response for Clarity[edit]

When you respond with an ambiguous description of what it was that was marked as not appropriate, using "Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy" has no description of exactly "what, this or that" did I write that needs conforming. If it..."Pronoun Game" doesn't make sense to you, I encourage you to read the wiki page on it. Originally it mean to conceal sexual innuendo with plain this or that or anything to obfuscate what the real convo is about. In a broader colloquial definition, especially in the tech-world, it means assuming the audience knows what you are talking about without any cite-reference or context...cough cough. If you leave out detail, how is anyone with the use case of maybe a 1000 entries going to know what you are talking about. I'm not psychic. If citation is what you need, no problem.I can guarantee that I can provide the citation, or write a book to satisfy the rules.
