Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Logo-comunita.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Logo-comunita.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 12:33, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template Biathlon World Championships[edit]

Hello, I don't know for sure if it is a rule, but I've never seen a template which included the venues. Perhaps you can take look at some other templates of World Championships, Template:Fina world champs, Template:Alpine World Skiing Championships, Template:Nordic skiing World Championships. After this explanation I hope that you understand why I undid your contribution. StevenZorn (talk) 16:27, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on World March for Peace and Nonviolence requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Biathlon World Championships[edit]

Hello Tonyr68uk. Can you please tell me if you are "responsible" for the page about Biathlon World Championships? There is a serious error, but I don't just want to start editing. I am not a pro at editing Wikipedia, but I think it's better to have a dialogue in stead of causing irritation. The thing is that the team competitions 1958-65 were not, as the page states, unofficial relays. They were official team competitions based on the results of the best 3 athletes from each country on the 20 km. In 1958 the best 4. Looking forward to your reply. Stavol2 (talk) 18:37, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Tony. Thanks very much for your reply. Even if I am absolutely certain about this, I don't think there are too many web sites to back it up. But at least this one got it right: http://sports123.com/bia/mw-tms.html. Can I perhaps use this as a reference? If other users starts to dispute this, I will perhaps need to dig deeper. If I have problems about the actual editing, can I ask for your help? Thanks again. Ståle (from Norway). Stavol2 (talk) 19:24, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Biathlon editing[edit]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biathlon_World_Championships Hello again Tony. If you have time, can you please take a look at what I did? Is the language and format in the description (under the headlines) OK? I see the reference link I have to back it up is already there. Thanks! Stavol2 (talk) 20:11, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Some athletes (Zubrilova, Forsberg, L. Poirée) have small numbers behind their names, but I find no referance to those numbers. Do you have any idea what these numbers mean? Stavol2 (talk) 21:26, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Tony. On the main page I have linked up all the years, both in venues and events, and I checked and updated the medal table. At first I put in the unofficial relay 1965 in italics, but had second thoughts and removed it. I think it will only cause confusion (the results are on the 1965 page anyway). I replaced some references which had incorrect information. There are 4 Wiki pages with -ship in stead of -ships. These redirect but no longer serve any purpose and can safely be deleted. I don't know how to do this, so I will let you decide what to do. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biathlon_World_Championship_2003 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biathlon_World_Championship_2005 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biathlon_World_Championship_2007 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biathlon_World_Championship_2008 Thanks again for your help. Stavol2 (talk) 11:47, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tony. I did some editing on the Biathlon World Championships pages. When the headline says "Men's results" there should not be any need to repeat "Men's", so I removed those. I replaced some of the previous referances, because that page do not look very reliable. I also removed an ingress comment in the 1976 page because the other ingresses tells only about the organizing of events. Finally, I adjusted headlines to "Medal table" rather than "Medals table" or "Official medal table". Except for 1965, which is the only year with an unofficial event. Otherwise "Official" does not serve much purpose and may cause confusion. I would appreciate any comments. Thank you once again. Stavol2 (talk) 01:03, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Biathlon 1958-65[edit]

Hello Tony. Thanks for your advice. I have now corrected each of the six championships pages. I also replaced the link because the previous ones had incorrect information. However, there was an error message regarding the reference on this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biathlon_World_Championships_1958. Can you please take a look? Hope to keep in touch with you.
