If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). As a member of the Counter Vandalism Unit, you should know better than to inject hyperbole into a biographical article like Rush Limbaugh. Trying to insist on including one little speaking mistake out of a lifetime of speaking is not encyclopedic in the least. Shall we include the fact that Obama didn't put his right hand over his during the national anthem or didn't wear an American flag pin into his article? Of course not. Hyperbole is a bit of a, well...hyperbolic word for the note I added. It was a factual citation and an ironic miscue, and I thought it notable given the award; if I am incorrect about that, then I'm incorrect, and I won't fight to keep the note. If he had made the same error in, say, a college commencement speech, I wouldn't have bothered to mention it. I didn't, after all, call the man an idiot for his flub, or suggest that it was some sort of major controversy; I just pointed out that it happened. In seven years, I've hardly looked at this Talk Page, so I didn't realize that this laundry-list of violations had amassed. It caught my attention because I was blocked, and I came here for clarification. As far as a more specific description of my offenses: I most recently copied-and-pasted product descriptions from Amazon.com to create pages for several novels. Since the material from those product descriptions belongs to either Amazon or the book's publishers, copying it is a violation of their copyright. Now: all of this said, if my transgressions are severe enough to warrant a continuing ban, then I would like to request that my Userpage be deleted. To be fair, you're probably not wrong. As you can see, I've had problems with not paying attention to this sort of thing before; I'm pretty sure this is exactly the same infraction that I've been cautioned about previously. I'm probably better off just taking a step back for the moment and really rereading the Copyrights policy again to try to get a handle on whatever it is I'm not retaining.
