Thanks for cleaning it up – it was a bit rambling and repetitive before. One sentence, where you suggested looking in an external link, I brought back into the text. ATB! --Moonraker88 09:34, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cast iron and rain water – two things I learnt this evening! Looking forward to the next version.--Moonraker88 19:27, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to BMW Motorcycles![edit]

Welcome to the BMW motorcycles article. We can always use good contributions.

Because of the incredible amount of vandalism and the prevalence of anonymous users on Wikipedia, even on the BMW motorcycles article, I am devoting more of my attention to the new, more controlled competitor, Citizendium, and less to Wikipedia.

It is not certain that Citizendium will survive and prosper, but I think it is worth the support of honest users of Wikipedia. If it does prosper, I will likely work with it much more in the future.

BMW C1[edit]

I just undid the reference that you added on the BMW C1 article as you removed an existing reference. If you think that the site you added is important and adds value to the article (it looks good to me by the way) then add it in the external links section. --TimTay (talk) 10:30, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ummmm[edit]

The thing is this definition was beaten to death. I don't have much problem with your edit at all, but the edit that was made after the one I reverted to completely rewrote the definition so that it no longer follows the wiki policy. If you want to remake your edit on top of the revert version, please do so.- (User) Wolfkeeper (Talk) 01:56, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations, you've now moved the definition bit down to the 3rd paragraph. The definition is that the expanding gas does useful work. Seriously, are you going to attempt to not redefine an entire part of mechanical engineering sometime? Hint: the term 'internal combustion engine' is a bit of a misnomer. Nearly all steam engines/external combustion engines have combustion internal to the engine also. Also, if you think about it, since intermittent combustion only occurs usually, then that can't be part of the definition, since a definition is necessarily always true. See WP:GOODDEF.- (User) Wolfkeeper (Talk) 02:23, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK, many thanks, that looks great now.- (User) Wolfkeeper (Talk) 03:16, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

British Isles[edit]

Hi TomRawlinson, could you elaberate on what you were saying on the British Isles talk page? Prima face it seems you are accusing anyone involved (here) (in trying to reach concensus on the wording of the lead paragraph) of "political trouble-making" and that they should be blocked from editing Wikipedia - which would be somewhat ironic given that the takpage subsection title is 'Compromise'. I'm sure I must have misunderstood you. Please clarify the point you were making. Further, you note "The Times entry and the BBC entry are presented as if they favour the new useage, which they do not mention.", although you do not note what the new usage is. Please let me know what you are referring to? Thanks, Daicaregos (talk) 15:31, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
