SuperVirtual

SuperVirtual was a sockpuppet of ItHysteria. I reverted all of his edits on that basis. Can I ask what you are clicking on that gives me this message thanking me for the edit immediately before you revert it?—Kww(talk) 21:29, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

Hail to the King

The edit was explained, it's only for the main A7X page. It's unnecessary. Someone had already done this, but you most likely undid it. Thanks, — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.22.252.115 (talk) 04:18, 26 July 2013 (UTC)

Master of Puppets

Hi. I was doing some improvements on this article, and I was wondering if you could check the commercial performance section. I crafted it myself but I'm not sure that the prose is very well composed. Thanks in advance.--Вик Ретлхед (talk) 14:25, 30 July 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for July 31

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Master of Puppets, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Machine Head (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[1] Could you elaborate on what you mean by "screwing up wikilinks"? — Reatlas (talk) 10:29, 22 August 2013 (UTC)

When a wikilink is directed to a subsection of a page, reflinks will change that wikilink to a redirection page that is directed to the same subsection. So for example it has a changed "Machinina.com#Inside Gaming" to "Adam Novac" because the "Adam Novac" page redirects to the Inside Gaming subsection. The problem is when somebody changes the redirect on the Adam Novac page or actually makes an article on Adam Novac, the wikilink is now incorrect. I think it is more appropriate if the wikilink is directed to the target page subsection rather than a page that redirects to the target page subsection. Also for some reason reflinks decides to remove wikilinks from GameStop and MTV in the publisher field on the cite web template. The1337gamer (talk) 10:42, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
How would the wikilink be incorrect? If someone makes an article on Adam Kovic the link would immediately be correct without having to go through every page and manually change it. This is related to the WP:NOTBROKEN guideline, which reflinks appears to be in compliance with.Reatlas (talk) 11:33, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
Because Adam Kovic isn't the intended target. The1337gamer (talk) 11:42, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
(edit conflict) I was striking out and changing my answer when you responded.
I didn't realise there was piping for that example. You're right. Although in some cases (from [[Characters of Halo#Catherine Halsey|Catherine Halsey]] to [[Catherine Elizabeth Halsey|Catherine Halsey]]) this is beneficial, I see what you mean. That seems strange...I'll take it up on the reflinks talk page. Thanks. — Reatlas (talk) 11:48, 22 August 2013 (UTC)

Article Feedback Tool update

Hey The1337gamer. I'm contacting you because you're involved in the Article Feedback Tool in some way, either as a previous newsletter recipient or as an active user of the system. As you might have heard, a user recently anonymously disabled the feedback tool on 2,000 pages. We were unable to track or prevent this due to the lack of logging feature in AFT5. We're deeply sorry for this, as we know that quite a few users found the software very useful, and were using it on their articles.

We've now re-released the software, with the addition of a logging feature and restrictions on the ability to disable. Obviously, we're not going to automatically re-enable it on each article—we don't want to create a situation where it was enabled by users who have now moved on, and feedback would sit there unattended—but if you're interested in enabling it for your articles, it's pretty simple to do. Just go to the article you want to enable it on, click the "request feedback" link in the toolbox in the sidebar, and AFT5 will be enabled for that article.

Again, we're very sorry about this issue; hopefully it'll be smooth sailing after this :). If you have any questions, just drop them at the talkpage. Thanks! Okeyes (WMF) 21:46, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

November 2013

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Titanfall, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Sorry to template, but this says it better than I can. I don't necessarily disagree with your edit, but it shouldn't be marked as minor, for the future. czar  21:56, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
