File:Dokimoy isidorou.jpg[edit]

Hey, so I just moved File:Dokimoy isidorou.jpg to Commons and I noticed that it is not rendering on my computer. Is this something on my end, or is the image corrupted? There is nothing to indicate otherwise on the original file, so I figured you might be able to reupload it on Commons if there is indeed an error. Thanks for the help, and have a great day! It's this one. Cheers mate! Thanatos|talk|contributions 12:24, 7 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Anglophone pronunciation of foreign languages[edit]

The vowels of goat and pay are not always diphthongs. Calling them vowels avoids accuracy or neutrality issues. In the same way that all squares are rectangles, all diphthongs are vowels. We also benefit from avoiding jargon when we can. Is that clear enough for you? — Ƶ§œš¹ [lɛts b̥iː pʰəˈlaɪˀt] 17:34, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Griko dialect (Samples)[edit]

--KoriAna 1 (talk) 14:17, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Δεύτερο: Εδώ μεταξύ άλλων βασίσθηκα και εδώ συνίζηση (στην κοινή νεοελληνική με αυτόν τον ορισμό) ακούω, μια μόνο συλλαβή (με /j/ πιθανώς και όχι /ʝ/ όπως σε μας αλλά εσύ θα κρίνεις καλλίτερα). Χάριν ταιριάσματος των συλλαβών, του μέτρου του τραγουδιού συμβαίνει αυτό ίσως;!;! Σε προηγούμενη στροφή πάντως μένουν ασυνίζητες οι συλλαβές. Ίδια συμπεριφορά ακούω, παρατηρώ και εδώ πχ, η γενική ασυνίζητη, η αιτιακή συνιζημένη. Οπότε τί να κανουμε; Μήπως να αλλάξουμε συγκριτικό δείγμα/κείμενο;!;! Μήπως να αλλάξουμε πχ την στροφή του τραγουδιού αν η ανυπαρξία συνίζησης κυρίαρχη στον συνήθη προφορικό λόγο; Μήπως ενίοτε κάνετε συνίζηση; Μήπως να βάλουμε κάποια υποσημείωση;
'Υστερόγραφο': Οι δύο πρώτοι σύνδεσμοι προς Youtube περιέχουν χρονισμό (χρόνο κατά τον οποίο προφέρονται οι σχετικές συλλαβές). Δυστυχώς όμως αυτό δεν φαίνεται να λειτουργεί αν δεν χρησιμοποιήσω την συντομευμένη μορφή της διεύθυνσης του YT η οποία όμως φαίνεται ότι είναι blacklisted εδώ, στην wikipedia (δεν σώζεται η απάντησή μου έτσι).Fixed. Thanatos|talk|contributions 15:43, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
--KoriAna 1 (talk) 19:44, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Griko dialect (diff). :-" Thanatos|talk|contributions 20:23, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Χαιρετίσματα, --KoriAna 1 (talk) 08:31, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanatos|talk|contributions 13:59, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Latin letters with Greek perispomeni[edit]

Hello. In April, 2014 you added the Latin uppercase and lowercase letters Ā Ē Ī Ō Ū Ȳ with Greek perispomeni to Template:Letters_with_macron. I'm trying to figure out where they're used and if they should be removed from the template. They're not in the Unicode data or named sequences. Can you tell me where they're used? Do you have any objections to me removing them? Thanks. DRMcCreedy (talk) 05:43, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Remove them. No problem. Thanatos|talk|contributions 11:54, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
