Question

Firstly, I want to thank you for the secondary sources to uphold the consensus of the flat Earth theory, and biblical literalism.

Secondly, you seem very knowledgeable on the subject, and I have a question not directly related to the discussion. It says here[2] that the book of Enoch was omitted from the bible due to the fact that "and by many of the early Church Fathers, such as Athenagoras, Clement of Alexandria, Irenaeus and Tertullian, who wrote c. 200 that the Book of Enoch had been rejected by the Jews because it contained prophecies pertaining to Christ. However, later Fathers denied the canonicity of the book, and some even considered the Epistle of Jude uncanonical because it refers to an apocryphal work." How does this relate to more current versions of the bible, and how the book of Enoch is still omitted from them? 98.37.0.12 (talk) 01:21, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

I don't know much about the Book of Enoch. I know that the canon of the Bible was adopted by consensus among orthodox Christians, during several centuries. Any book suspect of encouraging heresies was purged from the canon. So, a book which was early regarded as canonical could be removed from the canon due to later heresies. How does the rejection of the prophecies of Christ by Jews play a role in new versions of the bible still having omit the Book of Enoch? I don't understand the correlation. 98.37.0.12 (talk) 01:55, 28 September 2020 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Gospel of Matthew shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Please do not try to intimidate me. Instead, bring your arguments at the talk page an I will do the same. Edion Petriti (talk) 20:14, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
@Edion Petriti: Pushing a WP:FRINGE view is not allowed. Desist before you get a topic ban. Tgeorgescu (talk) 20:15, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
Please insert references/links regarding my fringe views. You are not paid at all to edit Wikipedia. Let alone instructing me. Edion Petriti (talk) 20:18, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
@Edion Petriti: As I said, UTFS: search the archives of that talk page. It has been discussed to death. Your POV is fringe, no doubt about that, and pushing fringe POVs has consequences like topic bans. Tgeorgescu (talk) 20:19, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
I'd like to have a second, non-militant opinion on the matter. Just curious of what put you off regarding Irenaeus. Edion Petriti (talk) 20:21, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
@Edion Petriti: Just type Irenaeus in the archives search box, this has been discussed in full detail and has been found wanting. Tgeorgescu (talk) 20:23, 18 October 2020 (UTC)
