Hello, again -.- I personally think you're awesome (btw, i'm 11 years old) but please give me a chance with my edits!

Hi, I haven't had a chance to check you out yet, but I strongly suggest that you answer the three questions more fully than that, as it helps people to gauge you by those answers. Anyway, good luck. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:49, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your request for adminship[edit]

Hello Tempodivalse, I have closed your request for adminship in accordance with your wish to withdraw the nomination. I kindly suggest that you work on any concerns raised in that nomination; and whatever you do, don't get discouraged by not passing your RfA the first time around: many of our best admins passed RfA on their second or third attempts. You appear to be on the right track, so keep that up. Best wishes. Acalamari 23:41, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and thanks for your kind note. I did check first thing this morning on how the RFA was doing and saw it closed. I am sorry to have been somewhat instrumental in the lack of success. I thinl the key thing here is that, as you said on my talk, you slightly rushed the nomination. Don't get me wrong - Real Life trumps wiki every time! I don't know how wikinews runs their sysop access requests but en.wikipedia has probably the most strongent set of unofficial, unwritten "rules" there is. RFA's need a fair bit of planning. Nothing personal, and I'm sure a future RFA will pass. Happy editing. Pedro :  Chat  16:33, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

An Encyclopedia should not provide opinion...[edit]

It should provide fact, and allow the reader to form their own opinion. You have recently reverted my attempt to remove the horrible opinion whoring taking place in the article "Zacharia Sichin" I don't agree with him, but this article is the worst case of one sided mind bending I have ever seen on Wikipedia. If you really want to end up an admin, you may want to make sure your standing up for impartial information production as an ideal, and not just reverting peoples changes without even checking the talk page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.60.1.225 (talk) 18:52, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

news agencies dont have a neutral point of view, they only say what the government tells them to. Animas-La Plata Water Project[edit]

Just wanted to give you a heads up on Animas-La Plata Water Project. I took a chainsaw to the article to get rid of the POV stuff, and only then did I think to check the history. Looks like the page got hijacked multiple times by a single user, most recently in this edit. Would you mind looking at both my version and one of the pre-hijack versions, and let us know on the AfD page if either of those work for you? If not, let me know what still needs fixing, because I honestly think this article can be salvaged. Let me know!--Fabrictramp | talk to me 21:51, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Delinquent Road Hazards[edit]

In the future if an article is a poorly written stub, it was more than likely originally a redirect not meant for an article. Please check through the article history before heading to AfD and determine through there whether it would be better to just revert back to that redirect rather than going through the AfD process to come to that conclusion. Preview[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edit(s) to Johann Strauss II, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thank you. Michael Bednarek (talk) 02:06, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Um, just wondering, where did I make a mistake? All my edits seemed to have been constructive. tempodivalse [☎] 02:15, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The main point of the template message above is to encourage editors to use the "Show preview" button; there are several advantages of doing so, and helping to find errors is one. In this particular case, a list of 54 edits to one article certainly clogged up my watch list. I am very much wondering why it takes so many revisions to make these edits. global warming page[edit]

There is an edit that I think should be done to the global warming page, but I am not familiar with editing Wikipedia and citing sources and all that. There should be a section on how that CO2 is not the only explanation for global warming. Sunspots is actually a better explanation to the change in temperature. Here are some sources:

An article by Harvard astrophysicist Dr. Willie Soon: http://www.tgdaily.com/content/view/42006/181/

And another article(there are comments at the end, but it is not a blog): http://www.misunderstooduniverse.com/Global_Warming_Debate.htm Mustanggt5000 (talk) 00:16, 23 April 2009 (UTC)Mustanggt5000[reply]

This petition of 31,072 scientists saying that there is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate, should be added.
Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth. Here is a link to the petition http://www.oism.org/pproject/s33p37.htm

Hi Tempodivalse -- this may strike you as an odd comment, but it occurs to me -- thank you for that. Now I know how it feels to be a newbie again. I'm not being sarcastic; I mean this quite genuinely. All of us who start to feel a little bit "high and mighty" need this essential experience once in a while. Since I've never contributed to Wikinews before, I didn't quite know how the place worked (e.g. the difference between a comment page and a regular talk page), and I also see that all the numbers would need news article sourcing (I could find a couple more, except I'm about to evacuate myself). Editing survey[edit]

Hi Tempodivalse. My name is Mike Lyons and I am a doctoral student at Indiana University. I am conducting research on the writing and editing of high traffic “current events” articles on Wikipedia. I have noticed in the talk page archives at Barack Obama that you have contributed to the editing or maintenance of the article. I was hoping you would agree to fill out a brief survey about your experience. This study aims to help expand our thinking about collaborative knowledge production. Believe me I share your likely disdain for surveys but your participation would be immensely helpful in making the study a success. A link to the survey is included below.

You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:04, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
