Speedy deletion declined: Ko Jae-Wook[edit]

Hello Tehae, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Ko Jae-Wook - a page you tagged - because: A2: The article is in English. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. Nancy talk 11:22, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up. The article was a direct copy of the Korean article prior to an editor running it through Google Translate. I see it's been noted for cleanup and I'll post it up on Articles for Translation Needing Cleanup to see if it can be improved. :) Tehae (talk) 11:26, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of XHW (Habbo) declined[edit]

Hi Tehae. Thank you for your work on patrolling pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I just wanted to inform you that I declined to delete XHW (Habbo), a page that you tagged for speedy deletion under criterion A7. A7 doesn't apply to this article because it makes a credible claim of importance. I agree that the subject is not notable, but notability is not the threshold for speedy deletion. As such, I have nominated the article for deletion via the article for deletion process.

Please review the criteria for speedy deletion if you haven't done so recently. In future you should tag a page that makes a credible claim of possible importance but doesn't appear to be notable for proposed deletion or start an appropriate deletion discussion. When in doubt, it is always better to use the more conservative deletion methods as there is no rush to get a non-notable article deleted.

Let me know if you have any questions, ThaddeusB (talk) 05:08, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up and the info. :) Tehae (talk) 05:16, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
