Gambling articles[edit]

Some of the edits you have made, e.g. in the 188bet article are unnecessary, inane details about sponsorship deals. Unless there's something particularly notable about an agreement, it suffices to say that X bookmaker sponsors Y team.

Other edits you have made, e.g. in the Betfair article are blatant PR. If we were to create a sub-section for every deal that Betfair strikes and releases a PR article about, we would end up with a massive, unmanageable article. Hazir (talk) 05:27, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hazir, thanks a lot for your warm welcome and advice. I understand your concerns regarding the edits on the sponsorship deals between bookmakers and sports teams, but I will have to justify that that some deals, such as the one between 188BET and Liverpool FC should deserve reasonable coverage as the sponsorship involve a (very) notable football club and will receive significant coverage. E.g. the conspicuous location of 188BET's logo at Liverpool's Official Website. As for the recent edit for Betfair, its great that you pointed out the advertising tone of my edit. Thanks once again.--Tan.boonkian88 (talk) 07:30, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, just to clarify.. The sponsorship deal is worth mentioning, there's no question about that. However there's no need to add, e.g. "...the terms of which were undisclosed" or as someone else added re. Wigan, "...but opted to take a 'very lucrative' package from 188BET instead." If you have any questions in the future, feel free to hit me up on my User page. Hazir (talk) 07:49, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
