Introduction and Some Thoughts[edit]

Hello, Tabarak 57, this is Jhc2675! I apologize for removing a section that you added earlier to the article about music videos, without giving a proper, thorough explanation for doing so, as well as for information that you added to the "Digital Era" section. What you added to the article certainly contained well-researched, quality information that could improve the article if it is implemented the right way. The only reason I removed it is because it seemed to be purely about the evolution of music videos, and didn't incorporate any information that tied in the relationship of singles to music videos. Music videos and their evolution definitely had a significant cultural impact, and so you certainly placed it in the right section, under "Culture". However, to some readers this could be seen as a distraction, especially if they are looking for the best detailed overview of singles that they can find without looking for any other information. Even so, I realize that removing the section was premature because music videos and singles are definitely connected (video singles, etc.) and what you provided was quality information that could be built on by incorporating some information about this relationship between them. As for the information that you added to "Digital Era", the facts that you added are interesting but for the purposes of a Wikipedia article it is generally best to limit writing about companies as it could be seen as having a biased angle or simply trying to promote their business. I hope you find my suggestions helpful, and I am glad to be able to collaborate with you in making this article better. Happy editing! Jhc2675 (talk) 18:40, 9 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
