Delete request?[edit]

Hello. It appears that you would like the XPro software article (in favor of the XPro article). If this is true, you can request deletion by adding the {{db-author}} template to the top of the article. An administrator will then take care of it for you. -- Tom N (tcncv) talk/contrib 00:11, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I want to keep the XPro (since it was available) article and delete the XPro software article, which is now pointing to this one. Current re-direction is also fine instead of deletion. Sweeraha (talk), 9:51, 11 September 2010 (UTC)

Now that XPro article has been deleted, I request that XPro software article is reactivated. This is a free software performing exact statistics. Please also note that many articles on commercial software, including poorly written StatXact on exact non-parametric statistics, are present in Wikipedia. The article XPro has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article is promotional (which equally applies to free products), and with the exception of a spamlink, is completely unreferenced, and does not assert notability. (should not be confused with dozens of other companies or products of the same name).

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kudpung (talk) 07:05, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It amounts to practicing double standards to delete an article on free software such as XPro while keeping commercial software such as SAS_(software) article. So, I object deletion unless the same standard is applied to articles on commercial software packages. Sweeraha (talk) 17:31, 7 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
