September 2011[edit]

Your recent edits seem to have the appearance of edit warring after a review of the reverts you have made on Pallar. Users are expected to collaborate and discuss with others and avoid editing disruptively.

Please be particularly aware, the three-revert rule states that:

 1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
 2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Dr.K. λogosπraxis 23:31, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Listing people in articles[edit]

One of our policies, WP:NLIST, says that we can't list people in articles like Pallar unless we give reliable sources that verify that the people are in that group. That is why I had to remove all of those people from that list. So please don't re-add people without providing such reliable sources. For people that have their own wikipage, it's fine if the sources are on the linked page, but they do have to be somewhere. Qwyrxian (talk) 05:59, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your message on my talkpage[edit]

Mallars / Devendra Kula Vellalar[edit]

- - why are so keen in deleting all the stuffs. The notable names given are true to my knowledge & the whole community knows who are they. And should better know that these notable peoples have done so much for the community. There are so many reference to prove that they are from Mallar community only. We also don't have any interest in including other people in our list. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sundarapandian1978 (talkcontribs) 06:03, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is the way of Wikipedia. You must supply independent sources verifying what you add to the article. Your word is not enough unfortunately. If you need to discuss this further please go to the article talkpage. My talkpage is not the right place to have this talk. Dr.K. λogosπraxis 06:11, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, List of Mallar / Devendra Kula Vellalar / Pallar. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - :Pallar. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at :Pallar - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:32, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You cannot do an end-run around the discussion on the current article to force your preferred version into Wikipedia. I have requested that that article be deleted from Wikipedia. I'm trying to work with you in good faith, but if you continue to engage in disruptive activity, I will request that you be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This is absolutely unacceptable. Furthermore, the new article you made copies from the existing Pallar article without providing attribution, which is a direct violation of Wikipedia's licensing agreements. Do not attempt another such disruptive edit again. The new article, btw, was equally unsourced--you can't just throw a bunch of sources at the bottom without connecting them to the specific names. Work within the system or don't work here at all. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:36, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

September 2011[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Pallar, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted (undone) by ClueBot NG.

 • Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
 • ClueBot NG produces very few false positives, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been detected as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
 • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Pallar was changed by Sundarapandian1978 (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.965328 on 2011-09-23T10:47:15+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 10:47, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Pallar. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. The reverted edit can be found here. Vrenator (talk) 10:52, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Pallar, you may be blocked from editing. The reverted edit can be found here. Vrenator (talk) 11:05, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Pallar, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. The reverted edit can be found here. Vrenator (talk) 11:42, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pallar[edit]

Hi again...I don't know if you actually read the messages here...but you need to not keep just trying to force your changes on Pallar; please go to Talk:Pallar and discuss them. Some of that info definitely does not belong in teh article (like the "list of scholars who support the naming"), as that is not the sort of information that Wikipedia collects. Our job is to state who/what the Pallar/Mallar are, not make an argument about what the right name is. Qwyrxian (talk) 02:03, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

October 2011[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring and disruptive editing, as you did at Pallar. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text , but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Vikram on Pallar[edit]

Okay, I found the Vikram article, it's at Vikram (actor). However, nothing on that article says that he is Pallar, Mallar, or Devendra Kula Vellalar. Unless that article has a reference that verifies he is part of that caste, you may not add his name to the list. You were blocked before because you kept edit warring and not discussing changes with other editors; you can be blocked again if you don't stop. Next time, the block will be for longer. Please stop, discuss this issue...people are willing to help you edit, but if you refuse to engage in conversations, you will be reblocked. Qwyrxian (talk) 05:48, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you do not stop added unsourced information about living people, your account may be blocked for violating WP:BLP. Qwyrxian (talk) 09:54, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
