Your request for mediation[edit]

Hello, I see you have requested mediation on the power law article. However, there is no evidence that you have attempted to discuss this on the article talk page. If you cannot come to an agreement with the other user on the talk page, then the next step is to request a third opinion. See also WP:DR. I hope this helps, and happy editing! :) -Atmoz (talk) 17:25, 16 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You have my support[edit]

You have my support in bringing awareness of the disruptive behavior of Derek farn. Unfortunately, you may find that his odd perspective on certain topics has supporters within Wikipedia. Prof McCarthy (talk) 18:26, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Prof McCarthy, thanks for your cooperation. I will keep you informed about. With my best regards and have a nice day, Structuralgeol (talk) 18:36, 23 July 2011 (UTC).[reply]

Hi, Structuralgeol. Although I disagreed with one of Derek's edits, and I see that he has a pattern of pissing people off, I don't think the solution is to form a secret conspiracy against him using one-use-only Rocketmail addresses and burn-after-reading talk-page notices. Instead, I think the solution is most likely to explain to him why his actions are annoying, ask him to please behave in a less annoying fashion (giving specific suggestions as to how he could achieve his goals in a less annoying way), escalating to mediation if necessary. So far I don't see anything suggesting bad faith on his part, just a truly remarkable lack of sensitivity, combined with an apparent passion for maintaining the quality of Wikipedia, even at the cost of becoming involved in personal conflicts — something many of us shy away from, sometimes to the detriment of the encyclopedia.
