Would it be possible to see and update of this essay or maybe a sequel? One of the issues that wasn't address was the idea of deletionist or inclusionist egalitarianism. What is meant by this is the strange phenomena of arguments for deletion or inclusion with little regard to precedence or common factors among articles. AfD only works because no one really tries to compare AfD results between similar types of articles. If they did, they would probably see how truly arbitrary they usually turn out. A classic example of this are articles like List of Star Wars systems in contrast to the non-existence of List of Star Trek systems. --173.13.177.205 (talk) 17:46, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
