Consolation[edit]

I really don't know you, and I'm sure you really don't know me, but in light of your recent losses, you are in my thoughts and prayers now. I do sincerely hope you do not take offense at this - I am a praying person, but if you are not, then take it as a "I'll light a candle" or "I'll send some good karma your way", or whatever is appropriate for you.

I do not know what you are going through. I can not empathise with you, but I can be sympathetic towards your pain. If you ever find yourself in North Dakota, look me up....

Respectfully, and with all sympathies, - NDCompuGeek 06:42, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Happy birthday... to your father.[edit]

Sorry I'm behind on thanking people, though. Not feeling well, physically and (a bit) mentally. Anyway, good luck. Will (Speak to Me/Breathe)(Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash) 13:36, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My deepest sympathy[edit]

Hello Springeragh, I have never really met you before, but that won't stop me from being sorry for you. While some people may think of Wikipedia as just an encyclopedia, it's much more than that, it's a place to make friends, and I want you to know that as of now, you have one more. I have also lost a loved one, specifically my grandfather, and I know what it's like. I am thinking about you. - RyGuy 18:15, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Truely saddened to hear of your hardships as well Spring. Valentine's Day can be tough enough without that.. My deepest sympathy is lended towards you right now. — Moe 15:22, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey[edit]

Thanks :) How are you? – riana_dzasta 03:15, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tired, as usual. :) I should probably get used to it, since I wouldn't expect to get a God-given amount of sleep for at least a year. :P It's worth it though. I can't wait until she starts looking like her daddy. ;) —  $PЯINGrαgђ  03:18, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You've got people around to help you out with everything, right? You need to think about yourself, too :) – riana_dzasta 03:20, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually she looks like her mama…but I would still like it if she had red hair. :D (Mama was blond.) —  $PЯINGrαgђ  03:24, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sure she's beautiful :) Maybe her hair will get darker? You can never tell with babies. My little brother started out with really tightly curled ringlets, and now his hair is as straight as anything. – riana_dzasta 03:26, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yep—my hair was just the opposite. (It's curly now and was straight when I was born.) And even most babies who end up with black or brown eyes are born with blue eyes. I think little girl's eyes may stay blue though, especially if her hair does turn blond. —  $PЯINGrαgђ  03:29, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My eyes have always been brown (blue eyes mighta been kinda frightening) :p – riana_dzasta 03:31, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
LOL that was funny. Hmm, though, I've never thought about it before, but I think if my hair was any other colour (except maybe black), it would go just fine with my eyes, and the same for my eyes. Although I've also seen some mighty dark-haired Irishmen also with green eyes, so…:| I'll just take the colours I have though. :) —  $PЯINGrαgђ  03:35, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ah yes, can't forget those swarthy fightin' Irish ;) – riana_dzasta 03:43, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Of course not. :P Why, if I didn't have my pole-skinny fellow-countrymen to fight for me (to keep up my reputation—very important :P), what would be left for us fat Pats to do? I can say that 'cuz I'm one of 'em. ;) $PЯINGrαgђ  03:46, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Lol! – riana_dzasta 03:54, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're back! Waz up?????? I can see that you're doing ok at the moment. Just tell me if you need help with any cleanup, tasks, editing, etc. To tell you the truth, I've been quite bored lately.--Ed ¿Cómo estás? 03:38, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can tell. ;) Thank you for you offer, but if you were to do all my Wiki-work for me, what would I do? Why, I'd be the bored one! :P —  $PЯINGrαgђ  03:42, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thinking outside the box[edit]

My attempt at vectorising it

And the lineart doesn't work. Grr. Will (Speak to Me/Breathe)(Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash) 03:42, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Now it works. It does look a bit off, but that's my fault, I can't draw lines for hell :D Will (Speak to Me/Breathe)(Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash) 03:50, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • So you noticed. :D I just slapped it together, just to have it on my page, but thanks for fixing it. —  $PЯINGrαgђ  18:26, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I thought it would be better as an SVG. Plus, I am learning how to do vector graphics, and immersion is better than being given a list of words to learn, I think. :) Will (Speak to Me/Breathe)(Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash) 18:32, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Duh, it's a foreign language. :P —  $PЯINGrαgђ  18:33, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You know, it'd be funny if there is actually a native speaker in Klingon or even CSS, you can imagine it: ".greeting {content-after: hello}" Will (Speak to Me/Breathe)(Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash) 18:35, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Or Wiki: {| style=humour:laugh; joke:good; etc. etc. |} ;) —  $PЯINGrαgђ  18:37, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm trying to include babel boxes... in blue. :) Will (Speak to Me/Breathe)(Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash) 18:41, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Plus, you're also talking in CSS, not wiki markup. *runs* Will (Speak to Me/Breathe)(Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash) 18:45, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ahem, look at the pages' history. I began mine on October 18, and you didn't start yours until December 2. I think you're copying me. :P —  $PЯINGrαgђ  18:58, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Muetuerways[edit]

I'm not actually well versed on the motorways on Ireland (or Northern Ireland), although I know a lot about the ones on the bigger island. My grandpa actually walked across the M62 between Outlane and Birchencliffe while it was being constructed back into the seventies. That was embarrassing. I've always associated N1 with Dublin. In my defense, I haven't been in Dublin since I was ten months old. :) —  $PЯINGrαgђ  19:30, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Road reclassification is confusing, so you're off the hook. (although the only recent ones that majorly affected my area are the perpetual A1 motorway upgrades). Will (Speak to Me/Breathe)(Grab that cash with both hands and make a stash) 20:00, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Thanks a lot for the barnstar you left on one of my subpages. I've never thoguht of myself as "surreal" - not even sure what it means completely lol - but I appreciate it all the same. Yeah, I haven't been Mr. Popular around here of late & I've been having a shitty time in RL as well. I've been thinking everyone hates me around here - Thanks for showing me that's not entirely true. If you ever need any work on an article... Regards :) -- Spawn Man 08:21, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism... Why?[edit]

Why did you vandalize my autograph-book sub-page? ([1])

--TomasBat (@)(Sign) 21:25, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am so sorry. On another page, I had read someone's guidelines that said "No vulgar, sexual, messages etc." and so when I signed I said "Not a vulgar, etc. ~~~~". The fact is, before then I had copied the phrase "No I will not sign your page. :P ~~~~". After then, I copied the "vulgar etc." for my own autograph page (which I have not made yet), and accidentally copied the "vulgar, etc." into your page. I am quite sorry. (If anything I have said was unclear, please ask about it.) —  $PЯINGrαgђ  21:37, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, you were clear enough. Happy editing...

Muahahaha! Sorry my message bar is fooling you so many times mate. It's all my fault - I said if it could get in 3 fools every day then it would get a pay bonus. I guess it's taking it a bit too far & I'll ask him to tone it down a bit. If you'd like, I could get him to drop by & apologise to you. Hi Springer,

Thanks for the message; still busy in life so haven't any time for Wiki, and probably won't for the foreseeable future.

Hope you enjoyed the 17th, anyway!

re: barnstar[edit]

Hey, thanks for the barnstar! I feel like I just about earned a Purple Heart barnstar in that mess, but the Surreal Barnstar goes nicely with my inescapable Central European sense of the absurd. :) I'm still quite upset by the anonymous "scholar"'s appearance--we were about to start getting some serious work done, and then he showed up and literally ground everything to a halt. Now I'm afraid to post anything on that talk page, since I know the "scholar" will just attack it, insult me (again), and hijack everything. I'll just ask your opinion here then: how should we structure the Liszt article between "life" and "works"? With a lot of composers you can make do with more or less separate sections for biography and discussion of their works, but Liszt's music is so intimately connected with events in his life, I'm not sure how to set it up. I want to convey that sense of connection, but I also don't want to make encyclopedia salad out of it. Thoughts? K. Lásztocska 15:34, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it's just like Schumann and Brahms (and Chopin too I guess), whose lifes parallel their music so much, you just have to do the best you can. I wish I knew more about Liszt though, because if I did I would become my own scholar. ;) Just try to intertwine it as best as you can. :) —  $PЯINGrαgђ  19:54, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Hey girl[edit]

Bengali - but close ;) It's equivalent to 'ri', it's the first letter in my name. Problem is Bengali script shows up so darn tiny that I changed it, so it didn't look like a little green smudge :) – Riana talk 15:34, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I could see it fine. But since I use special characters in my signature, I'm also careful to watch how it does in different fonts. —  $PЯINGrαgђ  19:56, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, me too! But I don't want to confuse people, so... maybe I'll just keep the old one, I keep changing this around but I can't get comfortable with it. – Riana talk 22:59, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Schumann[edit]

Greetings! I'm assuming it's a classroom assignment for music appreciation, or something, causing all the delinquents to visit. That page along with most of the main "classical" composers are on my watchlist (which typically runs just under a thousand). Thanks! Antandrus (talk) 23:35, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cliff! I'm just passing by to thank you on behalf of The Halo to thank you for, in his words, "all your kindness and friendship". I was supposed to do this five weeks ago, I only remembered it while I was fishing for some Second Life login details. And yes, this is a cross post of the message on Riana's page.
