Disambiguation link notification for February 8[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Accompaniment, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Soloist. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Deanne Panday, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Apology for my confusion[edit]

I'm afraid I can't figure out whether the page John Goldsmith, which you tagged for speedy deletion, should be contested or not — you can probably see I went back and forth trying to address the issue correctly. Maybe you can help. My feeling is that "John Goldsmith" should redirect to "John Goldsmith (disambiguation)" since none of the John Goldsmiths on the disambig page are of primary prominence. I apologize for my confusion and for asking for help. Thank you for any clarification / guidance. --Tenebrae (talk) 21:26, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In this case the disambiguation page should be at John Goldsmith which John Goldsmith (disambiguation) should redirect to - not the other way around, as per MOS:DABPAGENAME. <<< SOME GADGET GEEK >>> (talk) 21:49, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Doniago. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Crossword, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.
