Thank you for uploading File:Brookehogangrams.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:41, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sabotage[edit]

Thanks for creating Sabotage (Kristinia DeBarge song). However, I have redirected the page to Exposed (Kristinia DeBarge album) as the song is currently not notable enough to have an article, per WP:NSONG. Orphaned non-free image (File:Kristiniadebargesabotage.jpg)[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Kristiniadebargesabotage.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 04:10, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Shontellenewhair.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:22, 30 August 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NW (Talk) 03:22, 30 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Tardy for the Party requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. A tag has been placed on File:Kandiblog.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

January 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add content (particularly if you change facts and figures), as you have to the article Speechless (Lady Gaga song), please cite a reliable source for the content you're adding or changing. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Legolas (talk2me) 05:13, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Telephone (song). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. --Legolas (talk2me) 05:13, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Superficial (album). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Superficial (album). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:10, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Kylie (singer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not-yet notable performer with no work in the public sphere. Consider re-creating the article when notability is established.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Steamroller Assault (talk) 23:41, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Kylie (singer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Your recent edits (again)[edit]

I have the following issues for your edits

  1. Per MOS:NUM, it is best to write numbers out fully
    • # → number
    • 45 → forty-five
    • etc.
  2. We don't use bulleted lists per WP:ALBUMS as articles should be written in WP:Prose
  3. I am well aware that Kelly Rowland has announced a number of different released dates.
    • There are about six sources stating dates in September
    • There are several sources including live interviews with Rowland saying Fall.
    • She has never said November as a date.
    • By my calculations September is still in Fall.
  4. We do not add unverifiable information as wikipedia is an encyclopedia. All information must be from a WP:reliable source.

Response

I've been tracking news on her album very much and I am aware of exactly what's going on. I can tell you (with sources) that up until July 15, 2010 the album was self-titled. Only recently in the last week or so were plans changed. She told New York radio just 2 days ago that the album is currently untitled but that she wanted to call it Kelly Rowland but a lot of people said it would work so they're considering alternative names. Also in the masses of interviews she's done in some she's said Mid-fall in others she's said Fall. Since there are around 4-5 sources actually claiming specific dates in September those have been left for now. You cannot claim a November release from one-two sources where she said mid-fall especially not when she's also said just fall in 3-4 interviews. I appreciate the effort you made to update information but right now things are best left as they are. If the title is actually confirmed to be something else its not a problem and the page can be moved.

Also noted that many of the stories on google/bing/yahoo are from unreliable sources and all have to be scrutinized because you will find that many sources quote or copy each other too! --Lil-unique1 (talk) 22:56, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That's quite alright. It can take a while to learn the policies etc. If you need help just ask me or use the {{help me}} template. If I titled the album Kelly Rowland-title it would most certainly be deleted because album's with no name are not supposed to be created. However I created the page under the then title which kind of still stands. In her most recent interview she said "it was called Kelly Rowland and that might change. We're looking at fan suggestions..." Im leaving the name and release date as they are for now and I'm going to wait and see what the various sources then say. If things change the article will be updated. Note that I have said that Rowland is requestion alternative names for the album in one of it's sections. --Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:04, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine but again my issue is I dont think she's ever said, "Its not coming out in September anymore, its just coming out in Fall instead". Because she's never explicitly said the album's been pushed back I'm reluctant to add the information. and like i said in her most recent interview she said "we're looking into alternative names for the album," not that the album definately wouldn't be called Kelly Rowland --Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:09, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Provide me with the exact source which says: "The album is not titled Kelly Rowland" and the source which says "The album is pushed back from September" and I'll happily add them. And you're right I don't run wikipedia ... but I did prevent the article from being deleted and I've spent a lot of time editing the article to make it of a decent standard. The last thing I want is for incorrected or misleading information to be placed there. I've already said that Rowland is considering changing its name as well it being reported the album is being pushed back. That should suffice. --Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:19, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
NO i'm aware of all of those but in none of those does she specifically say "The album is not titled Kelly Rowland" or "The album is pushed back from September". So how would you word it using the sources we've got? --Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:23, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Best i can tell Perry's new album's page has been redirected as there is not enough information for a specific or detailed stand alone article. --Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:25, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You're still failing to understand my concern. Those article are virtually identical to each other all stating the same thing and non saying where the information came from. The interview on her website WPGA Radio NY is the best source she clearly says and i quote "I wanted to call the album Kelly Rowland but people said this ain't gonna work. So we're looking at other names, y'all gotta get suggesting at kellyrowland.com." Later when probed about the date she said "it should be out in Fall". that was the most recent source! --Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:30, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've suggested a few yes. I like "Rose Colored Glasses" more than "Grown Woman" but I can see why the latter is so popular. I've mentioned in the lead that there are reports that the album has been pushed back. That should suffice? HMV and Urban.de are still quote dates in September. If things change I will update str8 away --Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:40, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Don't know if you saw but minutes after our discussion the album was pushed back to October 26, 2010 so she can go in the studio with Tricky Stewart and Akon. (y) --Lil-unique1 (talk) 01:06, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm yeah its very ironic. It must been the higher powers from above. o_O lol. Well in a way its the best explaination I can give for why I didnt want to change the information. I would ahve changed to mid-fall only for it to change again to October 2010. Itsa something I learnt the hard way but it is sometimes best to hangfire and often the sources correct themselves lol. What do you think of the three singles so far? --Lil-unique1 (talk) 01:11, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

reliable sources[edit]

Note that Twitter is not a reliable source. Active Banana (talk) 01:26, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on No Gravity (2010 album), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

— JohnFromPinckney (talk) 13:41, 23 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to Minaj articles[edit]

Thanks for your good faith edits, but her Ustream session is not a reliable source, wait until the information is posted by MTV or a reliable source. Thanks. Candyo32 02:33, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How isn't that a reliable edit? You can skip to the end of the video and NICKI HERSELF says the album is called Pink Friday!

I know, but per WP:RS its not a reliable source. You have to wait until MTV, Rolling Stone or some reliable source posts it. Candyo32 02:43, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Same thing goes for Twitter. Please wait until a reliable source confirms. Candyo32 02:44, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

So Wikipedia doesn't trust Nicki herself but the current Twitter source being used is being trusted? This website is so dumb and so are you.

I am being very civil with you, it is no need to use personal attacks. Yes, even verified twitter accounts aren't reliable. I'm just going by the rules. Everything has to be cited by a reliable source. Candyo32 02:47, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay who made up these rules? And why is that it isn't reliable if the artist releasing the album says themself the album's title? (if your answer is "those are the rules" I'll ask again)

Please just calm down. Because they are social networking sites and even if it is a celebrity, they aren't reliable sources. Candyo32 02:58, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
See now Rap-Up has confirmed the album title so now you can use that source for Pink Friday, but not for the single switch-up. See now was that hard? Instead of having to go on a rant and call me dumb. Candyo32 03:06, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

August 2010[edit]

Please do not add or change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to No Gravity (2010 album). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Also, please use edit summaries when you make significant changes (or, for that matter, any changes at all). — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 05:25, 4 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
