Good job! I only have one small correction. On number 3, you put: "User:Smaug123 This is my userpage." What I wanted to see was: "This is my userpage," which in wiki markup is written as [[User:Smaug123|This is my userpage]]. Other than that, excellent job! Washita

I am the author of a book on the Battle of the Washita and the owner of a website http://www.custerwest.org dedicated to the study of the Battle with books and historians welcomed as members. I was working on the article of the Battle of the Washita with footnotes and original sources when HanzoHattori erased my whole work with a single website and things full of nonsense, like putting the Washita campaign against the Cheyenne in the "Commanche campaign". Read my website if you want to have primary source. And let me work correctly on this page with footnotes by books and original quotes. It's an encyclopedia, right? Adoption barnstar

Hello - is there any particular reason why you've created/added an adoption barnstar when the Project already has {{Adopt-a-User Barnstar}}, as discussed and agreed here? It's on the bottom of the main WP:AAU page too, in case you missed it. Or have I missed some discussion elsewhere? Yours, Bencherlite 09:48, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, probably best if you did, as the previous one's a bit more specific in its design for AAU. Do you think it would be a good idea to put the previous barnstar in where you put yours, so it's more obvious? If so, go ahead and do that. But good thinking to make one, though! Motto of the day

Hello, I notice you're using one of the {{motd}} templates, run by Wikipedia:Motto of the day. You may have noticed that some of the mottos recently have been followed by a date from 2006, or on occasion simply "Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia". The reason for this is that Motto of the day is in some very serious need of help. Participation in the project, which has never been especially high, has dropped considerably over this past summer, to the point we have had several days where no motto was scheduled to appear at all. Over the past several weeks, I've been the only editor scheduling mottos at all, but there aren't enough comments on some of these mottos to justify their use. If we do not get some help - and soon - your daily mottos will stop. In order for us to continue updating these templates for you, we need your help.

When you get a chance between your normal editing, could you stop by our nominations page and leave a few comments on some of the mottos there, especially those that do not have any comments yet? This works very simply; you read a motto, decide whether or not you like it, and post your opinion just below the motto. That's it - no experience required, just an idea of what you personally like and what you feel reflects Wikipedia and its community. If you do have past experience with the project, then please close some of the older nominations once they've got a decent consensus going. There are directions on the nominations page on how to do this.

Actually, I don't think I really deserve a barnstar for the simple work at MOTD. I've only been a regular editor of the MOTD since last August, and then a stopped for a WP:WB and wasn't back till recently. Also, I think you also deserve one:

Template:Woodbridge School/Infobox and Woodbridge School

The use of non-free images, such as File:Woodbridge shield.gif, on templates is strictly prohibited by WP:NFCC #9. There's no wiggle room on this. I'm sorry. Since the template in question, Template:Woodbridge School/Infobox, is used only once I've placed the code onto Woodbridge School. Templates are frequently deleted due to only being used once. Since it's highly unlikely that this template would ever be used anywhere else, I've also blanked it. I also modified the fair use rationale to point to the article, rather than the template. Rationales for templates are always invalid, as non-free media can not be used on templates. --Hammersoft (talk) 21:05, 25 June 2010 (UTC)

Can you tweak the script?

I think it's terrible to have 'nom' following the verb in the tabs. This makes it very long and one has to scroll left to find some of the tabs. At least in monobook. Can you remove the 'nom's so that they become 'approve', 'decline', etc? Thanks Kayau Voting IS evil 02:40, 26 June 2010 (UTC)

I added a conditional support tab, since that seems to be used a lot (ever since I started using it. :) More to help my ego). I also changed the format of the edit sumary, since people usualy tend to make their !votes be a full sentence. I also have a suggestion. I have been using yours for almost a day now - I'm mothballing my copy :) I wanted to remove the newline because one is automatically put in by the MediaWiki software at the end of the edit box, so that's where the text cursor goes when you click. :). For closing/reopening a nom, do you know how to add the text to the clipboard? At the moment, you have to go into a section, use the script, cut the section, save, go to top and add. You should just be able to use the script [which adds the template, and cuts the entire discussion to the clipboard, and adds to edit summary that the discussion has been removed for archiving], save, go to top of page (or to Decisions page) and add there. --Smaug123 (talk) 18:28, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

Count it as a normal one! When you actualy summarize how many !votes there are, you count it as a whole one. It's only when you are deciding to accept, decline, or reopen that you would count them as anything else. ~~ Hi878 ^{(Come yell at me!)} 19:27, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

OK - take

document.editform.wpTextbox1.value += textToInsert;

and convert it to

document.editform.wpTextbox1.value = textToInsert + document.editform.wpTextbox1.value;

I'm wanting to make it so that when you nominate one, either from editing the whole page, or the In Review section, it puts the nom in the right spot. I would want the button to be there whether they are editing a section or the whole page, and... Well, look at my sandbox.
