Renaming your account

Administrators can't rename accounts, only bureaucrats can do that (I'm not a bureaucrat). The reason you haven't been renamed yet seems to be that you posted your request on your own talk page by mistake; the bureaucrats only look at WP:CHU, so make sure you post the request there so they see it. --ais523 16:24, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Regarding sockpuppetry accusations

If you feel that you have been unfairly accused of using a sock puppet, my first suggestion would be to talk to the editor who has placed the notice on your user page. It is possible that it is simply a case of mistaken identity, and if you talk it out with them that can often alleviate the situation altogether.

Also, try not to worry about it. Just continue contributing to Wikipedia in the best way you know how and before long you'll be established as a good editor. Note that merely being suspected of operating a sock puppet is not grounds for any kind of punitive actions, and as long as you do not operate alternate accounts you have nothing to worry about.
