License tagging for Image:Atlantaregionbuckhead.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Atlantaregionbuckhead.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 03:04, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

GSU coach article[edit]

Thanks for your work on Georgia State baseball recently, it is much appreciated. I was hoping I could convince you to also create a articles for GSU baseball head coaches, beginning with the current one Greg Frady. This would help Wikipedia's coverage of Georgia State baseball and the CAA, as no current CAA baseball coaches have an article. Any interest? Billcasey905 (talk) 15:07, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Modern Day Hate requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. File permission problem with File:GSUPracticeFaciltyCourt.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:GSUPracticeFaciltyCourt.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:22, 26 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Georgia State Signal Logo.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Georgia State Signal Logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Disambiguation link notification for February 7[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited CNN Newsroom, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Michael Holmes. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Notice

The file File:One Peachtree Center.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused. Low quality. Superseded by files at c:Category:SunTrust Plaza (Atlanta, Georgia).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 10:17, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Blaire Erskine[edit]

Please stop edit warring to add the copyrighted image. I get that Erskine posted on Twitter about making it the photo for her Wikipedia page, but it needs to be properly licensed if that's what she desires. I would recommend reaching out to her about releasing the image properly if that's actually what she wants, and was not just making a joke. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 17:05, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The rights to this image belong to me and i am the sole owner of this image. I have proof of this which i can produce if necessary, although i already affirmed this when i uploaded the image. Skapunkskatedude (talk) 17:13, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not trying to be the fun police here, but the image was first posted by Blaire Erskine and so proof that it belongs to you needs to be produced. See WP:DONATEIMAGE, as I linked above, or commons:Commons:Volunteer Response Team#Licensing images: when do I contact VRT?. Once that's handled, the image can be added! GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 17:15, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
On it. She should be posting on Twitter that I am the owner of the image. As soon as that happens i'll revert it back. Skapunkskatedude (talk) 17:18, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think an email from Erskine to the permissions queue with either the document transferring the copyright or the boilerplate release at WP:DONATEIMAGE would be better, I'm not sure a tweet would do. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 17:24, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Blaire has informed me that she's sent someone an email confirming this, was this to you? Alternatively I can do it myself if she emails me directly. Skapunkskatedude (talk) 17:25, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Certainly wasn't to me personally (nor should it be), presumably to the queue I mentioned above? That team will process it and update the page on Commons to confirm they've sorted things out with Erskine, at which point the image can be re-added. Note that they also may need her to show that she owns the image, because the photographer is typically the copyright owner (not the subject) and it's not apparent in the photo if it's a selfie. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 17:30, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I saw this here on Wiki and on Twitter and DM'd her directly about how to donate the file. She responded to my DM, so she's probably referring to me. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:32, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. Cheers everyone. Skapunkskatedude (talk) 17:36, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

February 2023[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Blaire Erskine shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. GorillaWarfare (she/her • talk) 17:14, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This is not true. I am the sole owner of the image which is being uploaded, which is being removed because, without proof, people don't believe that i am the sole owner of the image. There is no reason that this image should not be used as the image on this article. Skapunkskatedude (talk) 17:16, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
