Community based monitoring

Hi Siva1979. The article I just made (community based monitoring) is my first-ever contribution to Wikipedia. I have no idea how all of this works. Is my article okay? Is it going to get deleted? Are you the (very helpful) person who added the references section? If so, thank you! Is this space supposed to be used for chatting back and forth with one another? Anyway, obviously I'm a bit confused but thank you for welcoming me to Wikipedia. I hope my CBM article survives and is edited to make it more complete and better. Looking forward to learning more about the Wiki world, contributing more in my field of interest (health advocacy) and talking to you in the future. Sincerely Kwanzan --Kwanzan (talk) 10:08, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Burnhamfc.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Burnhamfc.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:09, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

AfD nomination of St Blazey A.F.C.

I have nominated St Blazey A.F.C., an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/St Blazey A.F.C.. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Church Maintenance, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.catholic.org/encyclopedia/view.php?id=2953. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 03:25, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Copyright violation

The article you created at A.B. Imeson appears to be copied exactly from http://people.famouswhy.com/a_b__imeson/ , and is thus a breach of copyright which can't be allowed in Wikipedia. I have re-worded it to make it legal. Please do not copy other people's words into WikiPedia - your articles will be immediately deleted (I'd have done so, except that I'd already found the man in IMDB and added that reference, so rather than put the whole article up for "Speedy Deletion" as a copyvio, I edited it to salvage it.) PamD (talk) 08:01, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

  • And the same thing applies to Anglo-Belgian Society, where your text was copied exactly from their website. Please stop violating copyright. PamD (talk) 10:05, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Hello. I see you are creator of these template, so please have a look: on many European Cup Winners' Cup Finals (e.g. 1970) the template is displayed two times. Possibly a bot can handle this Roman 92 (talk) 10:16, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

My RfA

Thank you for participating in my "RecFA", which passed with a final tally of 153/39/22. There were issues raised regarding my adminship that I intend to cogitate upon, but I am grateful for the very many supportive comments I received and for the efforts of certain editors (Ceoil, Noroton and Lar especially) in responding to some issues. I wish to note how humbled I was when I read Buster7's support comment, although a fair majority gave me great pleasure. I would also note those whose opposes or neutral were based in process concerns and who otherwise commented kindly in regard to my record.
I recognise that the process itself was unusual, and the format was generally considered questionable - and I accept that I was mistaken in my perception of how it would be received - but I am particularly grateful for those whose opposes and neutrals were based in perceptions of how I was not performing to the standards expected of an administrator. As much as the support I received, those comments are hopefully going to allow me to be a better contributor to the project. Thank you. Very much. LessHeard vanU (talk) 13:32, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Galactic Computing requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 01:54, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Pease Pottage Village F.C. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Paste Let’s have a chat. 20:24, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category talk:Landforms of Singapore, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Did I forget to thank you? ..

Siva1979 ,Thank you for participating in my RfA, which passed nearly unanimously with 174 in support, 2 in opposition and 1 neutral votes. Special thanks goes to RegentsPark, Samir and John Carter for their kind nomination and support. I am truly honored by the trust and confidence that the community has placed in me. I thank you for your kind inputs and I will be sincerely looking at the reasons that people opposed me so I can improve in those areas ( including my english ;) ). If you ever need anything please feel free to ask me and I would be happy to help you :). Have a great day ! -- Tinu Cherian - 06:02, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Orphans

I've noticed that two articles you created, Thacia Montana and church maintenance are complete orphans, i.e. no other articles link to them. Generally when you create an article, you should try to figure out which others should link to it and put the links there. Michael Hardy (talk) 18:30, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Sittingbournefc.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Better quality PNG version available

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on [[Talk:File:Sittingbournefc.jpg|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. It's Malpass 93! (drop me a ---) 22:32, 9 December 2009 (UTC)

RfA thanks

Thank you for voting in my RfA, which failed with 21 support, 39 oppose, and 11 neutral.
This is highly belated, but I wanted to thank you for the support in the RfA discussion. I do apologize for taking so long to reply to you, after the failure I laid back for a while. I just dove into another article and am working more diligently on WP.
