Good afternoon User:Elizium23. Pardon me but there must be a misunderstanding here, as I'm not the same guy as the IP user you reverted before, you can fact-check that. Moreover, you should notify users with warnings, instead of threatening them of getting blocked straight away. This is the common practice, and also a sign of good manners.

The reason why I wrote back the edits that IP made on 1985 (a page I have on my personal watchlist) is that they are genuinely good edits:

Hamilton won his 7th F1 championship a few weeks ago, the news is widely known and easily checkable, to the extent that it was reported under the "In the News" section of the Wikipedia main page, too;
that guy Jerome d'Ambrosio is apparently an existing person with his own wiki article, so there's no need to add a source to prove his existence. And he seems worth of being mentioned in the list;
moreover, I ordered the people born on the same day as Jerome d'Ambrosio in alphabetical order, which is not a bad thing per sé.

I don't know how these three points sound as poorly sourced and disruptive edits to you. I suppose you merely reverted without checking. I'm sure you're acting in good faith, but I invite you to take your time checking facts (and editors' identities) before reverting, since acting so blindly is not constructive and is not in the best interests of Wikipedia. Not everything an IP does is necessarily bad, otherwise they wouldn't be allowed to edit articles. Please check, always.

Simostar, per WP:V, inline citations are required for all material likely to be challenged. Wikipedia is not a reliable source, so you may not rely on its articles as sources. Copy the source out of the referenced article to use it there. Elizium23 (talk) 15:28, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Although I can't see how any of this is likely to be challenged, it seems the only problem here is providing a source for Hamilton's 7th title, am I correct? Why don't just marking that with a citation needed request, instead of blindly carpet-revert others' edits? Anyway, I'll put a source, it's not a problem.
