I reverted your changes to Jimmy Buffet. You don't propose edits by adding stuff to the top of articles: you just make the change (so in your case, you would edit the section of the page which mentions "eight authors" to talk about nine authors, and use <ref> to add your citation). If you want to discuss the article, rather than just diving right in and changing it, edit the Talk page instead (click the "Talk" link next to the "Article" link at the top of the page).

Have a read of Wikipedia:Introduction, maybe.
