Just leave you message at the bottom. :D

Pachuca fashion[edit]

I don't know if you noticed it, but it has been proposed that Pachuca fashion be merged into Pachuco. I think it will make the Pachuco article more balanced in many ways. Feel free to discuss on either article's talkpage. Thanks for your efforts, --Rockero 04:17, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'll go ahead and merge them then. If you continue to add information and Pachuco gets too long, then we will need to create a separate article. Until then, as I say, it will provide more balance. As for Chicana, I think there is definitely enough information out there to merit a separate article (Chicano) is pretty long as it is). So if you'd like to take a crack at it, I'll support the idea of having two separate articles. Also, I'd like you to take a look at Chicana feminism. My friend Antonio wrote it, and bless his soul, he is interested and diligent, but he is not an expert. I would expand it myself, but I haven't read Anzaldúa or Moraga, and so am a little underqualified at this point. Maybe information on la Chicana can be integrated into this article? Let me know what you think, and thanks again for your work.--Rockero 16:58, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
PS, please sign your name on talkpages by typing ~~~~ after your comment. ¡Gracias!
The merge is complete. Please check out the new version of Pachuco and see if you approve.--Rockero 22:46, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Project / GAB[edit]

Hey there, sorry to bother you again. But did I mention that we have a WikiProject on Mexican Americans and Chicanos? Our goal is to expand the information about the Mexican American experience. When it first formed, we were trying hard to recruit female members, but none could be found. We are trying to avoid the types of gender biases that lead to biographical articles on men far outnumbering those on women, for example. So it would be really cool if you would look over the project page, and if it sounds like something you might be interested in, feel free to sign up! On another note, the article on the Great American Boycott has been started, if the topic is of any interest to you. Thanks, --Rockero 21:18, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Ambassador Program is looking for Campus Ambassadors in Houston[edit]

Hi! I'm leaving you this message because you are listed as a Wikipedian connected with the University of Houston. The Wikipedia Ambassador Program is currently looking for Campus Ambassadors to help with Wikipedia assignments at another Houston school, which will be participating in the Public Policy Initiative for the Spring 2011 semester. The role of Campus Ambassadors will be to provide face-to-face training and support for students on Wikipedia-related skills (how to edit articles, how to add references, etc.). This includes doing in-class presentations, running workshops and labs, possibly holding office hours, and in general providing in-person mentorship for students.

Prior Wikipedia skills are not required for the role, as training will be provided for all Campus Ambassadors (although, of course, being an experienced editor is a plus).

If you live in Houston and you are interested in being a Wikipedia Campus Ambassador, or know someone else from the area who might be, please email me or leave a message on my talk page.--Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 20:31, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
