Do you know about this project? Your edits to the Scouting in Derbyshire (my old stomping ground from Sheffield in my youth) article were valuable. I have however tidied some of them a little. --Bduke (talk) 23:27, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Yes I did thanks, I added myself a while back. Schumi555 (talk) 10:08, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Indeed. Sorry. I should have looked at your user page earlier. I looked at it after adding that comment and realised you had the Project User Box there. Do you want to help getting other county articles up to scratch? They are pretty bad at present and there are few UK Scouting editors it seems. --Bduke (talk) 11:34, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
That's okay. It would be nice yes to get other county articles up to scratch. My knowledge however is pretty limited outside of Derbyshire but I am always willing to help where possible. Schumi555 (talk) 15:48, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Since you listed yourself as a Young Leader, we would appreciate input on Talk:Young Leaders' Programme. YIS --— Gadget850 (Ed) talk - 10:13, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Derbyshire Scout Logo.JPG

Image:Derbyshire Scout Logo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Derbyshire Scout Logo.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Derbyshire Scout Logo.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:21, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

From what I remember, User Shmede is your kid brother. I'd appreciate it if you could ask him to stop creating sockpuppet accounts for trolling [1] [2] [3] [4]. Don't be surprised if you find yourself autoblocked in the coming days... Pascal.Tesson (talk) 21:14, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

List of Formula One drivers

Hi Schumi555. Thanks for updating List of Formula One drivers for the Italian GP. I was going to do it tonight but you beat me to it. Thanks again. DH85868993 (talk) 10:25, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Haha :) no problem! I thought I'd best do it seen as the race was nearly a week ago! Schumi555 (talk) 13:09, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Queen's Park, Chesterfield

Lot better now with the refs added. On re-reading it the lead could do with improving to say were the ground is to the rest of the world, and maybe split the history out to a new heading. I just had a quick glance when systematicaly tagging all the articles "Derbyshires sports grounds" or similar and it obiously was not B on current grading criteria so marked it. Thanks for fixing the refs when its been tweaked a bit more (the lead & that list which as you say is a bit poor), I'll get a second opinion as I learning the assessing proccess (dont want to over grade). I'm going to go through all the starts as a fair few will now meet C, and then do the Stubs to see what can be moved to Start, before I assess all the new stuff I've just tagged. I'll try and add comments to them to help people - Thanks again BulldozerD11 (talk) 21:05, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Looks alot better with the results list in tables, with refs added, so i've given it its B class back, thanks for fixing it - BulldozerD11 (talk) 23:21, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Chinese Grand Prix

How often do you visit motorsport websites? Didn't you see that the Chinese GP might be taken off the calendar in 2010 due to financial difficulties? I suggest you visit autosport.com to see for yourself, thank you, enjoy your day.IhttahTredniruSitnA (talk) 22:04, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

Revert on Talk:The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (soundtrack)

This revert was a little bit too fast. The user may be overenthusiastic, but the thing is, it really was John O'Neill… :-) Skarebo (talk) 11:43, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry, you are right, I thought the edit was left on the article page, not the talk page. Apologies again, Schumi555 (talk) 11:46, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
No prob. And it gave me idea… It shouldn't be difficult to provide in the Huggle some visual indication (say, easy to notice colorful icons) of the namespace for the current change (main, talk, user)… runs to tell it to Gurch Skarebo (talk) 12:01, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Haha yeah I agree with that. It's very easy think you are editing mainspace but actually its talk etc. Schumi555 (talk) 12:02, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

2009 Formula One season

I semi-protected 2009 Formula One season for 1 week. I got fed up blocking the Tor nodes the anon was using. Let me know if he comes back after the protection expires. --GraemeL (talk) 19:16, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Okay many thanks, Schumi555 (talk) 19:26, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Your kid brother...

... and his friends are on a rampage again. See for instance my talk page history. (I actually deleted their revisions on my talk page but see Parsecboy's among many other targets.) I know you're not responsible for their actions but if you can smack some sense into them it would be most appreciated. We don't need this crap. Cheers, Pascal.Tesson (talk) 16:31, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

I'll give him a ring later on tonight; it's a bit harder to keep tabs on him and his friends now I'm living away from home at uni, but I'll do my best. I do apologise on his behalf for the inconvenience it has caused you, Parsecboy and anyone else that has been affected. Regards, Schumi555 (talk) 17:28, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. I know there's only so much you can do but it's great if you can give it a shot. Best, Pascal.Tesson (talk) 21:30, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I've just created the WikiProject Chesterfield, and wondered if you might be interested, as I need help with it and thought you might be able to help as you come from Chesterfield and seem to have done a lot of work on articles and images of Chesterfield. Thanks, Wikiert (talk) 17:01, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Use of Huggle

When using Huggle, please be sure to evaluate the content you're reverting to; often, especially with biographies and schools articles, the blanking is done by the subject (for biographies) or a member of staff (for schools) because they don't know how to restore a good version when their article has been vandalised. Your revert here quite obviously reverted to restore patently offensive, and defamatory, content to the article.

Daniel (talk) 03:14, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the advice, on reviewing what the article was reverted to I can see it was patently defamatory! But so was the edit I reverted :) I will take more care in future. Thanks again, Schumi555 (talk) 10:17, 10 December 2008 (UTC)
No probs. Happy editing :) Daniel (talk) 10:28, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

Chesterfield railway station

Hi, I have some information with regards to my edit on this article.

  • The Master Cutler will no longer longer go straight from Chesterfield to London - the last train to do this was on Friday. Under the new timetable it will call at Derby and Leicester so I no longer saw this as relevent information.
  • I suppose the edit for the Nothern Rail service was a bit early but it does start tomorrow. I'll edit it back again tonight.

Year1989 (talk) 15:08, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

Okay no problem, I wasn't aware of the Master Cutler no longer running, but I knew the Northern Rail services didn't start until the 14th, so I suppose we were both right and wrong :) Schumi555 (talk) 18:12, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Same here. The Master Cutler will still run but it will start it Sheffield and go via Derby and Leicester. Year1989 (talk) 18:20, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
The Master Cutler still does run and starts from Sheffield and calls at Chesterfield, Derby, Leicester and London. It no longer goes direct from Chesterfield to London. East Midlands Trains also runs four other named train too. Year1989 (talk) 19:57, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I thought the reason why you removed the information off the Chesterfield station page was that it no longer called at Chesterfield, sorry. Schumi555 (talk) 20:02, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
