Welcome[edit]

Hello, Sandycx, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Wikipedia Boot Camp, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Re: Too many mistakes in Guqin audio[edit]

Thanks for your reminder. I know my sound recordings sound like crap. They suck. :-) I have made a new version of the recording. It sounds a little bit...a little bit better. But of course, it is nice to have a native Bejinger to read it aloud.- Audioman 04:22, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Really admire your devotion. It sounds much better indeed :)- Sandycx 04:35, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Autoblock of 67.15.183.2 lifted/expired.

Request handled by:  Netsnipe  ►  09:11, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not 100% sure if what I've done has unblocked your IP properly since this is a range block, so feel free to request unblocking again if you still can't edit. --  Netsnipe  ►  09:11, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Block request[edit]

I issued the vandal a final warning, looks like (s)he stopped editing afterwards but I'll keep an eye and block if any more happens. If you see a vandal with a long history, you should generally warn them at least once, using {{uw-vandalism4im}}, or the regular series of warnings if there's no history. If they don't stop after the final warning, you can report them to WP:AIV. Seraphimblade Talk to me 07:52, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalized again, so blocked 'em. (By the way, it's generally a good idea to sign talk page posts using four tildes (~~~~), it generates the name of the person who made the post and a timestamp, like this: Seraphimblade Talk to me 08:47, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Stress (physics)[edit]

I appreciate you're acting in good faith but it's best if featured articles are nominated by people who have worked closely on them. This way they can give reasoned replies to reviewers and be familiar with the sources to make any suggested improvements. Someone who hasn't worked on the article can't provide this input, so the FAC rumbles on until the opposes become so overwhelming that the article is failed, taking a lot of reviewers' time. While the Stress (physics) article is reasonable, it is not FAC quality as is evidenced by its poor reception, so I suggest you first work it up through peer review and good article to prepare for WP:FAC. In the meantime, you should consider withdrawing the article. You do this by typing "Withdrawn" followed by "~~~~" on the nomination page. All the best, --ROGER DAVIES talk 15:30, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've withdrawn the premature, malformed FAC of an uncited article; it can be found at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Stress (physics)/archive1. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 20:00, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

December 2008[edit]

Please remember to mark your edits as minor if (and only if) they genuinely are minor edits (see Help:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Pressurized Water Reactor[edit]

You animation image of the way in which a Pressurized Water Reactor works caught my eye, and I listed it at Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/Pressurized Water Reactor. A question has come up concerning whether or not a smoother version of the animation is available, and since I am unsure as to whether you have created a smoother image or not I am leaving this message to invite you to reply to the question so you can have an honest answer. TomStar81 (Talk) 01:25, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Sorry I am not the creator of this animation. It was created by U.S.NRC and the original source is here. I've corrected it on the nomination page. Thank you! --Sandycx (Talk) 01:56, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
